I'm not too big on clothing design these days, but Palinurus last got a character sheet, like, three years ago. At the very least, she deserves some options. #artfight #characterdesign

Tbh, I got a lot more confident once I treated faces like anything else in a larger figure / scenic illustration -- it alleviated the pressure of making faces specifically perfect. Often, I'll sketch them quite simply, and the style just comes from making them "fit" with everything else.

Plastic Little (1994) may not be especially dense, thought-provoking, or at all possible to recommend (containing many of the OVA era's worst sins), but it's the first thing I've watched in a while that makes me want to grab my tools and draw. It has real passion behind it.

Moresnet Standard Infantry, 5"x7". Figuring out a simpler style for watercolor, and really enjoying the subtlety one can achieve by layering different tones for shading. I do wish the marker I used for the background was darker, though... #watercolor #illustration
