Just a WIP of this guy. It's slow going because I have been doing a lot of adulting tasks that have kept me from my art. I am still making time. This was done between yesterday and this morning. Again, slow going, but going none the less!

This will be my art attempt for today or tomorrow. The sketch was done today as was the base painting. I admit nervousness about this one as it's a bit more detailed than previous ones and my hand trembling is pretty bad today as well, so we shall see.

"Ode to a Flicker" There is a Northern (yellow shafted) flicker in the neighborhood that is just constantly screaming and drumming in the territorial way and I just felt the need to paint him a little tribute. He is my background noise when I paint. XD Acrylics on a 2in x 4in canvas.

Went for a walk in a local park with my son today. Was nice to be in nature. Got som decent birdwatching in. I didn't take my camera, so the only pic I got was this phone pic of a Rusty Blackbird. He was close, had I had my camera the pics would have been amazing lol

I know everything is on fire right now but we have to call about this, we’re already calling about everything else, just add it to the pile. The grief I feel rn is indescribable but to them it’s just any given weekday.

A little over an hour and I'm finished. I'm surprised, yet pleased with myself and how this turned out. The Blackburnian Warbler is one of my favorite migrants in the spring. Acylic paints on a 4inx4in mini black canvas.

I said fuck it and managed to sketch out a Rusty Blackbird for fall. We technically don't get them rill.winter but they areive in fall. That counts, right?

Birbs! Summer is Scarlet Tanager (page by itself), Spring is Blackburnian Warbler (bottom), Winter is Red-breasted Nuthatch (top). The Fall one is likely gonna be a Palm Warbler unless I come up with a better 'fall' bird to use. I use fall losely because they can also be here in winter.

I got some sketchy things done! I'm super proud and happy. They're gonna be 4inx4in acrylic paintings on some canvases I got. The canvases come in packs of 4. So my first four are gonna be bird/season related. Debating if I should share the sketches here. Hmmm.
