I have an AI book reviewer trying to scam me and... yall... It just feels like being "creative for the internet" benefits everyone else except the artist at this point. I wrote a book, the Book Reviewers made more money off it than I have. AI scammers stole it and make money off remixing it.

Day 9 of #Artober is #DetectiveConan from #CaseClosed #Anime. I visited Japan earlier this year & a new DC movie came out so they were advertising it everywhere. I decided to give it a shot, watched it in Japanese w/ no Subtitles on Netflix, liked it and rewatched it w/ subtitles back in the states!

Day 8 of #Artober is #ChainsawMan. As a lover of Evil Dead, id say this is like my favorite character design ever. I guess I just have a thing for Chainsaws haha. #anime

#TBBChat Q1: Book 1 mostly takes place in an abandoned weird house in the mountains, however the stuff leading up to that are based on places I’ve been. For instance the Gas Station is 1 to 1 one I’ve been to near Napa. Book 2 I’m emulating the feel of conventions I’ve been to, like GenCon and ACEN

Day 3, Portland! incorporated a lot of stuff into this one. Multonomah Falls, the Peculiarium, Raven's Manor, Biking, The Skeleton Key Museum, the Insectorium, Powell's Books, the shark from the coffee place we went to, the Portland sign, Voodoo Donuts, the LGBTQ+ community, got it all!

Day 2 of #Artober, still on Travel from this year, is when I went to South Dakota to dig up Dinosaurs. I incorporated Wall Drug (IYKYK), the Buttes we dug at, Wild Bill Hickocks Guns and the Triceratops rib I dug up, among other fossils.

I’m not ashamed to admit I modded Silent Hill f on my second run. Just one small tweak, weapons do 4x more damage, and it like completely redeems the game for me. Battles dont feel like a slog anymore and I can back to the good stuff. Battles aren’t also 1 hit kills, it just feels less spongy.

#HorrorWritersChat Q4: My entire second book revolves around "trying to figure out how to live" and the fear of "not figuring it out before its too late." A slice of life, emphasis on the SLICE.

#HorrorWritersChat Q3: I think there's a tinge of relatability when "you're at your 9-5, you hate your bosses, the work you do is draining..." and now a monster is hunting you down in your workplace. Like something about all the factors before the Dinosaurs really makes it feel real.

#HorrorWritersChat Q2: In OF!D! Most of the characters are college grads that are younger 20s. We do have a side of the story told from older people. That side tends to reflect all of my frustrations with Capitalism haha.

Silent Hill has some of the coolest, thought provoking monster designs. So much beautiful symbolism to admire and unpack. For example, this creature embodies the notion of gggggeeeeet the F AWAY FROM ME—

I beat Silent Hill f. Overall I loved it, but I hate the combat. It’s just a slog. Like it’s the same maybe 6 enemies over and over again and it takes so long to kill them. Luckily the “everything else” was awesome, and Story Difficulty made Combat tolerable. Such a cool ass game!

Age yourself with a movie you saw in theaters as a kid (the original… not the like 3D re-release they did lol.)

Last night for Spooky Season we watched Intruder, which was a great fun time. Probably one of the most horrificly gory murders I’ve seen in a horror movie (the saw to the face!) and also the funniest slasher ever haha

Loving Silent Hill f so far. Combat is whatever (I just set it to Story Mode, I can’t be arsed lol) with Hard Puzzles (gonna do Lost on the next playthrough.) loving the weird story and cool setting and it makes me miss Japan haha.

Every cool person I know worked on this. @genegoldstein.bsky.social and @doodley.org were my managers at a previous job and pretty much taught me Maya, which got me my current job. Plus some Yotta folks I worked with. Looks awesome! Great job yall!

Went to LA for the week for a work thing, as I was driving back to the Bay I saw a sign that said a stall was selling Bonsais. I had a Bonsai as a kid and really loved it and had been looking for a new one. So I got this little fella!
