KRC is currently striving to help urban & non-traditional growers get connected to The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentive Program, or EQIP,

On Tuesday, we received the very disappointing news that the USDA was terminating the Regional Food Business Centers. The Regional Food Business Centers were created to provide support to local food and farm businesses by providing technical assistance, capacity building, and coordination planning.

It has been about a week since the Kansas Rural Center staff met in Matfield Green to discuss the future of our work in Kansas. Some key takeaways from our meeting include the understanding that doing good work isn’t always flashy. We are proud of our track record.
