I like to think that Edge just like usual Papyrus completely refuses to kill. In Underfell this is a pretty insane commitment for obvious reasons. Monster with low stats and no EXP/LOVE are considered trashy and will probably end up being dusted by someone stronger eventually.

I've spent way too much time thinking about the type of food monsters eat regularly on the underground. Because they do eat some stuff from the surface but that is not what they live off clearly.
