School today... A fellow teacher hears a 16-year old girl whine that she'll never take one of my classes again. My crime? I made her take notes. I made her watch a 10-minute video. I gave a 6-minute presentation on UI design. We have a state test next week. She never does her work, btw.

RIP Hideki Sato. Former Sega President (2001-2003) and father of Sega's consoles, including my favourite one, the Mega Drive, has passed at the age of 75. The legacy he leaves behind is immense and cherished. 💜

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse... I'm cautiously optimistic. It doesn't look like the play mechanics I wanted to see (or art style) but I'll give it a chance. Of course, if it ends up being a rogue-like or lite, I won't be happy. I only thought Dead Cells was OK at best because of its randomness.

What I put on to watch while I work tonight:

So, did my taxes today. There was a lot of talk about big tax breaks this year. My adjusted income was about 1k more than last year, same bracket. Witholdings were the same. My refund was half of what I got last year. (I expected this). Just a warning for anyone getting ready to file.

I am not excited about DQ7 Reimagined. This is the third go-round for one of the worst games in the series and it doesn't seem THAT different. If they wanted to do a fancy remake of any of the DQs it should have been DQ5, but I have a feeling they're doing HD-2D remakes of 4-6.🤷🏻‍♂️

It approaches. Soon... soon...

Amazing that Microsoft spent all that money buying up all those companies in the last 8 or so years... and now they are losing money and blaming Xbox and their first-party games. No game company in history has squandered and mismanaged more company purchases.

The downside of the snow. I just spent 3 hours trying to get my car unstuck. Had to call a relative to tow me out of my own yard and then back into my driveway. Win some, lose some. ⚖️

Normally I post that I'm happy about getting a snow day. Which, of course, school is closed tomorrow so yay for that (I'm a teacher). I think this week... we will likely be closed the entire week. We got about 9 inches of snow and temperatures are supposed to be negative all week. Fingers crossed!

YouTube just sent me an email congratulating me for hitting 100 subscribers. Ordinarily that'd be swell, but I hit 100 subscribers five years ago. Anyone else get anything like that from them recently? It just came today.

Apparently, according to a commenter, my Shining Force II video that took about 50 hours to make, was incredibly lazy becUse I didn't do absolutely everything. Even though I squeezed that 50 hours into working full time, doing university classes toward a graduate degree, having a family and more.

Well... This weekend we are supposed to get over 11 inches of snow... yeesh.
