My brother forced me out of the house to go visit good friends of ours, one of whom had a second round of brain surgery a week ago. That was perspective needed today.

Getting out of the house and with friends for a few hours was definitely the right call.

Have to say that now, being able to say that I was involved in California’s first theater (otherwise known as the house that Jack built to us Troupers), remains something I’m so proud of and grateful for. It closed in the late 90s for safety reasons (old building, big earthquakes), and it’s missed.

Once a trouper of the Gold Coast, always a trouper of the Gold Coast. An ancient relic of my past that I’m honestly shocked survived, it’s the only one I have for all the shows I was in, but for a very fun few years, I was heavily involved in California’s first theater and it was glorious 💗

She’s rocking pink hair, said other bitches in our complex gave her side eye and she’s like “I’m 63, I don’t give a shit” she rock.

So, my dad is an avid biker. He’ll be 80 this year and had polio as a kid, this effected his legs as polio tends to do, and the way he’s helped combat the effects for literally 6+ decades is by biking. He is an avid bicyclist. When home, he rides 20 miles a day, 7 days a week.

It was my parents. I know, this is unsurprising to those who know how incredibly random my parents can be. However, while their ultimate reasoning was solid upon reflection, no way would I have gotten there without them cluing us in.

Yes, I’m terrible at icing things, and they’re not the prettiest anyways, but am in heaven. Actually soft and gooey and gluten free! It’s been at least a freaking decade since I had a soft cinnamon roll.

Found that there is now a ski/snowboard cross terrain park at a place the fam already frequents and I now have a new mission in life: convince my siblings, BIL, & SIL to race next time. I’ve met us, I have a very good chance of succeeding.
