Turns out, in a non-surprising turn, stressing out doesn’t help with the quest to do silly things like sleep. Weird.

Stress is doing a job on me right now and man, just need to get through Thursday and yeah. Freaking deadbeat ex husbands are the worst and never seem to go away. Or at least that’s the case for mine.

My dad’s glee over the Great Puppet War, the Saga of the Texas Star, and my basket of chaos meant to long term terrorize my siblings knowing they’ll do the same, is awesome and is a legacy of the highest caliber. Yeah, these are word salad sentences but trust they actually make hilarious sense.

May be a small thing but my 18yo’s excitement about studying conservation gives me such hope for the future. Won’t be easy but there are such passionate, smart kids out there that are very capable of changing the world, and that’s such a bright spot right now.

lol per our request, we saw Sheep Detectives and sure it’s a kid movie but whatever, we really enjoyed it. Neither my SIL or I are big movie people, like at all. But we saw the preview when we saw project Hail Mary and yep, absolutely up our alley lol.

My SIL and I put our youngest kids in charge of Mother’s Day today for us and Oma (lol they’re 24 and 18 so very capable of this) and they did a great job. Went to see a movie and then dinner they mostly made (we are ourselves lol and have to help) and laughed for hours.

Wondered where the dog was, then heard one very quiet whine. Yep, staring at the magic food box.

Emotional hangovers are nearly as bad as the other kind. Yesterday was a hard day, it’s been one we knew was coming, it was a terminal diagnosis. He fought like hell regardless. And for a funeral, it WAS a celebration, complete with hair bands and an open bar. Laughed a ton, and cried as much.

Deep cut - I also have Mervyn’s related trauma. My mom and I were in the store, looking a fancy dishes and the like when the 89 Loma Prieta earthquake hit. It was Very, VERY Not Good. Obviously, we made it out okay, but damn, that shit still scares the shit out of me now.

Slept about 90 minutes total last night and have been ruinously tired all day so it absolutely tracks that I’m too awake and unable to sleep now. WTF self, wtactualf.

Spawn the youngest has literally demanded that I do community theater with them post move and friends? I AM SO IN.

I have been terrorizing my child with puppets. Now all the drama kids are in on it and my goodness, this is ridiculously fun. Have brought one with me to the shows and have had their friends hide it backstage and omg. It is making 18 nuts and everyone else thinks it is frigging hilarious (bc it is)

Millie is now very spicy & clearly mad at me, as evidenced by her barking at me randomly, all because I found her hidden panda & cut off her next victim: the other ear. The shining upside to this week that’s been…a lot, has been 18’a final HS show. They have a juicy roll and a solo song(!!!) and once again, stole the damn show, which is saying something because these are some talented kids.

The hot mess express is being driven by 18. Millie did a drive by licking and somehow that turned into a beverage out the nose from being startled and then choking.

“ICE CREAM DOES NOT GO IN THE FRIDGE!” Was not the thing I expected to yell at 7am. But here we are, yelling at teens about ice cream in the fridge.

He has spent his life playing the victim, manufacturing outrage, screaming about being wronged, all very publicly, and loudly. Instead this he tries to have the show continue and then makes it about his ballroom? Not about how people are sooo mean to him and he’s the most perfect!

Regardless of if that nonsense was staged or not, the fact that he and his minions haven’t shut up about how the ballroom since really doesn’t help sell authenticity. It’s really that simple.

The right will cling to ANY solution other than gun control won’t they? Now a tacky ass gilded ballroom would have prevented any issue. Not having better security, not common sense gun restrictions, not removing and tossing in jail the melon felon. A vanity project building will fix it all.
