In June 2024 I brought these sweet peas home from the shelter as “permanent fosters” because they were 10.5 and the shelter didn’t think anyone would want to adopt senior buns. They wanted them to have a home to live out their days in. I figured we might have them for a few months, maybe a year.

Everything is terrible, but the panda cam was playing at the dentist today, so that’s something.

I don’t know who needs to hear this (yes I do — people who can’t stand mint toothpaste), but this tastes *exactly* like a creamsicle. Best toothpaste I’ve ever tasted and it’s not even close.

Not that this is what’s important, but, like, they didn’t even get the lower grocery prices they thought they were voting for. (BUT HOLY FUCK WAS IT OBVIOUS ALL ALONG THAT THEY WOULDN’T.)

So I hung out with some donkeys this weekend.

I could easily part with at least 80% of my belongings if I were moving in a month or two, but two things I know I’d keep are my I ❤️ Lunch bag and my whale bottle opener. What’s something you’d for sure keep?

On World Penguin Day, here’s a video I took in Chile in November. They’re so blissfully unaware of how ill-suited they are to life on land.

Y’all, I accidentally waved at a Cybertruck this morning. I was in mile 6 of a cold, drizzly run, and as I approached the entrance to a parking lot, someone was waiting for me to pass before turning in. It wasn’t until I looked up as I gave my thank-you wave that I realized it was a CT. 😬

A massive bug flew into my eye and lodged itself under my eyelid while I was running tonight. Having a regular bad thing happen was a welcome distraction from all the very, very irregular bad things that have been happening lately. I managed to dislodge it and it flew away, if you were wondering.

Stitch pulled two cups and his little bunny onto his bed with him. He tried to pull his big bunny up too, but it was too big for a wee chap like himself.
