There aren't many teams that are consensusly ranked lower than the
#Browns
, but Cleveland is facing two of them (Dolphins and Jets) in their next three games. After a tough stretch of opp. to start the year, the schedule lightens up a little and the Off has to start showing up...

I feel like it's either Stefanski's not trusting Gabriel to execute an offense without training wheels or his play calling has just fallen off a cliff, becoming way too conservative and uninspired. And I get that the OT play has been awful but it's not looking pretty...

Per PFF, the
#Browns
have 2 of the 6 highest ranked pass rushers on the defensive interior in Maliek Collins and Adin Huntington right now... Yes it's only a 3 week sample size, but this pass rush from the interior has been such a game changer for Cleveland's defense!

If the
#Browns
are really looking to add an OT via trade, I think the Chiefs' Jaylon Moore and Texans' Cam Robinson could be interesting targets. Moore would be especially interesting as he played well throughout his career, just never really got a legit starting opportunity

RB in a single game since Week 10 in 2023! Huge get for the ground game and potentially some pressure taken off the passing game and Flacco (or whoever will take over at QB going forward π)

The
#Browns
didn't have a lead in that Packers game until the clock hit zero, one hell of a performance by this defense and special teams. One of very few(!) bright spots on offense: Quinshon Judkins! Cleveland finally has an RB1 again!

The earliest I would think about a QB change would be after the Steelers game tbh. At that point it's probably more clear where the trajectory of this season is heading and Gabriel would have a little more manageable stretch to settle in as the starter

I get that voices will get louder for a change at QB, but inserting a rookie in this offense that allowed constant pressure on the QB going into a stretch playing some elite pass rushing units just wouldn't be wise imo.
#Browns
will play the rookie(s) at some point, just not yet

I assumed Rocket Sanders was kind of a place holder for the

until Judkins gets activated, but him getting a "role" as the short-yardage/goal-line back with being on the team for only about a week seriously made me think whether it's Ford who's the odd man out...

Definitely some positives to take away from this one but a lot of last season's struggles prevailed tonight for the
#Browns
. Drops and giveaways (with both INTs being on the WRs imo) that lead to missed opportunities and a kicking situation that is far from resolved... Nevertheless, this actually

still have their international practice squad spot open, let me throw Louis Geyer's name in the ring (look him up Americans)! Dude's 6'2", 198 lbs. and recorded 800+ yards in each of the last 3 regular seasons (that's 12 games) in the ELF with a total of 33(!) TDs. He's currently

Quinshon Judkins will be RB1 for the
#Browns
at some point, but until then I'm really interested to see the split in the workload for Ford and Sampson. Will probably take a couple of weeks for Judkins to get up to speed so there will be a lot of carries available for those two

Under Stefanski, the
#Browns
are 6-4 vs the Bengals including a 4-1 record at home. Combined with the Bengals slow starts in recent years (haven't won an opening game since 2021, and haven't won an opening road game since 2018), Cleveland's chances of winning this game aren't actually that bad. The

signed a couple of really interesting players to the practice squad imo. Strange and Corley both have the draft pedigree, but didn't manage to live up to it yet, maybe a change of scenery benefits them. Also keep an eye on Brown (OT), Dellinger (IOL) and Ulofoshio (LB)...

I truly thought Briggs was in the mix for the
#Browns
DT5 spot, but given their offseason moves they really seem to put an emphasis on explosiveness and pass rushing at DT. They got a couple of young guys in Huntington, Kamara and Holley that might fit that prototype better

The
#Browns
have an incredible hit rate on UDFA Safeties! D'Anthony Bell (2022) was a great signing and they found a future starter in Ronnie Hickman (2023). It's still early but both Chris Edmonds (2024) and Donovan McMillon (2025) showed flashes in preseason. Impressive stuff!

Might not be the most exciting choice, but certainly a logical one. Flacco is the only guy in the room with experience in Stefanski's scheme and this will allow the
#Browns
to ease in whoever they view as the potential future starter (who will take over at some point this year)

That drive was such a perfect representation of who Dillon Gabriel is. Methodical, decisive and never passing up an open read. Sure he's not going to get you a ton of wow-plays but there's so much value to what he offers (as a starter or backup)

Yes it's only preseason, and yes Sanders is not playing against (or with!) starters for the majority of the game, but he and this offense already put up more points in three quarters than the

did in 14 out of their 17 regular season games last year...

LB room getting thin all of a sudden with the retirement of Hicks, JOKs injury and the legal situation surrounding Devin Bush... They could certainly be in the market for another veteran, otherwise there would be a lot of pressure on the young guys to perform.

adding Diontae Johnson and (possibly) Elijah Moore might not be huge moves but puts this WR room in a much better place than before. The only concern I have is that there are a lot of similar skill sets in that room and Tillman improving becomes even more important now

Given the
#Browns
already have 4 QBs with serious chances of making this roster, they absolutely can't afford to block another roster spot for Watson. I'd expect some sort of restructure that would allow to spread the cap hit out to finally get that clean cut for both sides.

plans for structuring their offense/team. I believe they made it undeniably clear that they want to go back to that 2020 Stefanski scheme
