Hey guys, it's been a minute since I've posted, but I have good news to share. About a week or so ago, I received an email from my counselor informing me that I have made the Dean's List for the 2025-2026 academic year with a GPA of 3.58.

Well folks, I wanted to keep this under wraps until I was absolutely sure, but now that it is confirmed, I can share. This week is the final week for my classroom work in my degree program. I will be receiving an A in this class.

As I've gotten older I have come to the realization that protecting my peace is more important to me than EVERYTHING. I am not about to run up my blood pressure and affect my health (physical and mental) in a negative way just to pretend to be happy, or make anyone else happy.

Update: As of 1/31/25, I am now a member of the Alpha Epsilon Gamma chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honors Society in education. I know I've still a ways away from graduation, but it's neat that I'll have a few extra accolades to add to my diploma come Spring 2026 #teacherlifeloading

A couple of days ago we had a training literally entitled, "What To Do If ICE Comes To Your School." While informative, I found the fact that we even had to have this training disgusting. It basically told us what our rights are, and our role when it comes to students and their parents.

I just looked at my class schedule. I have 5 more classes before I begin my student teaching. 5. More. Classes. All that I will have left to do in August is my 4 months of student teaching and then I will be a credentialed teacher with a B.S. in Mathematics.
