No matter who you’re voting for in #Aras25, sensationalised attack ads are just grim, especially at a time when politicians repeatedly (and rightly) call for reducing toxicity in discourse and an end to personalised attacks. Nobody wants this stuff. It sours an electorate that desires civility.

Listening to the #MorningIreland debate, I just feel for both candidates. Raking over the same issues already raised, fairly aggressive questioning. Most people I chat to say the same - these constant ‘debates’ are relatively pointless. Very frustrating #speirgorm

Heartening to see support from across Irish football for this EGM request from the FAI’s membership. The Irish Football Supporters Partnership (consisting of Republic of Ireland and League of Ireland national fan groups) has been active on this for some time.

What an incredible weekend for Irish sport (and I don’t mean the golf or NFL!), including brilliant game at Tolka Park between Shels & Athlone in @leagueofireland.bsky.social Women’s Premier Division.

This is a very perceptive piece. Music fans at outdoor gigs are treated appallingly. The facilities are really poor, and yet fans are routinely paying €100+ for their tickets.
