Didn't get any pictures but I started a new sewing project! I found a pattern for a straight cut little dress with flare sleeves and I pulled out my bedsheet leftover and stitched it up really quick. I just have to lower the neckline a bit and even out the bottom hem. My plan is to wear it Thursday.

Oh my gosh. I've been reading "Fast Draft Your Memoir" by @rachaelherron.bsky.social and working along with the workbook. I think I have the beginnings of an outline! It's a very heavy topic. But, I was able to get an outline on paper in about half an hour!

I'm not okay. I've been crying on and off all day, hiding it from my kid because she doesn't understand why I'm sad over someone I've never met. But when an actor portrays a character that becomes such an inspiration to so many, it hurts.

Thing 183572 to work through when I go back to therapy. Being able to help one of the residents at work currently living in the same room my dad stayed before he was admitted to Hospice. Had to bring a grocery delivery and then fought to not cry.

Grief is sneaky. Took myself to a Chinese buffet for dinner & fought back tears over dessert. My dad loved pairing the sweet buns with the bananas with the strawberry (?) sauce. (He would dip the bun in the sauce) And, since a friend just lost her dad to cancer, Dad's been on my mind a lot this week

Going on a pre-work walk in the park across the street. Walked for about 7 minutes. Made 1/4 mile before I had to stop and rest because my back hurt. I was going at a pretty brisk pace, which I'm not used to. Fortunately, the path has lots of benches for needed rests. Time to keep going.

I found a little bit of pink thread in my stash. Asked Peanut if she wanted me to use that to hem her Princess Anna dress. Since we're painting pink flowers on the skirt. I love how this pops against the green. It's going to look so pretty!!

The first if Peanut's princess inspired dresses is done! Now to make it look like a gown fit for a snow queen. Any tips on how to "Elsa-fy" this?

Did I just seam rip 4 skirt panels because I completely rethought how I'm working this dress? Yes. However, I can sorta use my machine so it won't take 3 days to put back together.

Tuesday might be above 40 degrees! I might dig out my cloak and go do a photoshoot in the park.

To the snow plow angel who helped me and my husband dig out my mom's driveway so she doesn't have to worry at midnight when she returns home, thank you and all the blessings. You truly were a God send and we wanted to pay you but you drove off.

I think I'm getting faster with my eyelets stitching. I was able to get into a flow between this morning and about half my shift at work. I got all 22 done! I brought the shoe laces with me and tied up the bodice and then attached the skirt.

I figured it out!! I was struggling so hard with how to finish the final few chapters of New Witch on Campus. But, while listening to the Seven Miracles of Beatriz Holland by @rachaelherron.bsky.social , it clicked in my brain and I was able to knock out the Big Bad confrontation scene!

Just a small splurge on fabric yesterday because I was in desperate need of retail therapy. So now I'm set with sewing projects well into the new year.

My husband's so sweet! All he had to do was move the shelves. He also moved all the junk in the corner. Now all I have to do is box up my desk stuff and we might be able to move the L desk tonight!

The last 2 items in my to do list are a mood. I woke up with a headache and on the edge of overwhelm after doing so much yesterday

Today's task before I go to work is to begin clearing out my office so I can rearrange furniture. Hoping Hubby will have success with his interviews this week so I need to take advantage of him still being home with the heavy lifting that needs to be done.

10 chapters done. Minus the outline and the chapter left to revise, my word count is 18,907. I'm pretty confident I can more than double that for the second half of the book.
