I just wanted to give another heads up to other ladies. My doctor assumed I was in menopause a few years ago, and put me on hormone replacement therapy. I may not have been. I am having some health issues and it may be due to this.

I just joined a local gym. Right now I am restricted to the treadmill only. My doctor says no more karate because of broken bones and no more walking outside because of asthma. #fitness #injury #health

9 I have been studying phlebotomy, was an officer in HOSA taking third place in epidemiology, and made it to the International Leadership Conference. God has guided me to a point where I believe that the best way to help people that have experienced what I have, and to honor the people in my life

8 My impression is that God guides us through the difficult times in our lives and helps us make the most out of them. In my heart I can’t completely justify many of the people in my family dying so soon. Sometimes their lives had just run their course or the cancer won.

7 My uncle's death affected me differently from my other family members who had died. At this point I felt that my clear direction was definitely oncology. I don't think that God plans for everything to happen or has a plan for those things.

6 After my aunt died I started thinking about becoming an oncologist. A year and a half ago my uncle at 60 was initially diagnosed with pneumonia. Soon after he was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma. Unfortunately he passed away a few months later.

5 This is a fatal disease with death occurring within 5 years. At this time I started thinking about going into cardiology. A few years later my aunt at 58 was diagnosed with sarcoma. She fought it for 2 years, however the cancer won in the end.

4 I was always fixing my stuffies boo boos. I was thinking of becoming an obstetrician during this period in my life. A couple of years later my grandfather told us he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis from working in the coal mining industry.

3 My interest in working in medicine started at the very young age of 3. My mother gave birth to a still born little girl and this deeply upset me. I also started watching a show on Disney Junior called Doc McStuffins. She had a mobile clinic and fixed injured stuffies along with broken toys.

2 I am Brooke Triner and I would like to be an oncologist. Through my life experiences I have been guided in this direction because of my family and faith. I have a very small, close family and my faith in God influences my decisions.

There was a slight delay to remove Geezer's stitches. He finally had them removed today. It was actually staples. They told me that a couple were difficult to remove and he has a little bleeding now. Poor baby, I wish they would have been more gentle with him. #schnauzergang

100% worst idea ever

Geezer has to go in his pen when we can't keep a close eye on him. He is being the baby. Likes his cone because he knows it means extra attention. Also having me cut his food up into tiny pieces and hand feed him. As well, I must hold his water bottle for him to drink. #schnauzergang

Knocked a blind off with his cone, ran around in the yard, peeing, pooping, banging his cone on the ground. Attempting jumping up on furniture which is a big no right now. Was pretty high, happy and mellow upon arriving home. Now, he is getting a little grumble at mom as per usual. #schnauzergang
