Law professor, political philosopher
I just learned that Common Law Liberalism is now available as an audiobook. The best part is that I am not the reader. Gain wisdom while driving or running.

Critics of President Trump frequently compare him to contemporary authoritarians such as Viktor Orban, Recep ErdoÄźan, or Putin. This is inappropriate. Orban, ErdoÄźan, and Putin are rational and act intentionally.

I just learned that Jim Stoner published a review of Common Law Liberalism in the Claremont Review of Books. He did a remarkable job of capturing the essential themes of the book in a mere two pages. The review is at:

My new book, Questioning the Assumptions of Political Discourse, has been published just in time for the fall semester. This book is a good reader for a political philosophy course. For those who want to try it out, I attach a flyer for a 25% discount.

My new book, Questioning the Assumptions of Political Discourse, is being published on June 30. I believe that this book would be a useful reader for any course in political philosophy. I can have a copy sent to anyone who would like to write a review of it.

I recall an illustration of deconstruction from the 1990s as the assertion that Hamlet could be understood either as a play about revenge or as an instruction manual for sword fighting. That came to mind when I realized that the Trump administration regarded 1984 as an instruction manual.

Mike Munger published a review of Common Law Liberalism in the Journal of Value Inquiry. I think that it is a good review, but according to the abstract he supplied, it is an epic.

I have encountered many analogies for what the upcoming Trump administration will be like. Today, for no apparent reason, the thought occurred to me that we are about to spend four years living in the Bill Mummy Twilight Zone episode, "It’s a Good Life."
