Did my first loop around the dirt track in Central Park. I think it will be my new go-to location for recovery runs. For sure easier on the bones and more shade than the paved loop.

What can replace drinking in nightlife culture. I just want to be places and around people that are fun but the cost of entry seems to be alcohol. Alcohol has its place but it seems, especially in NYC, that life revolves around it.

Im starting to feel like I’m getting my legs under me this year for running. Had a tempo workout where the thought process changed from “I’m not hitting my zones today” to “holy shit it can hit my zones today.” Progress.

Spring in The City

Australian bands run my life right now. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Tame Impala, etc. for some reason I thought Turnstile was Australian as well- but nope. Baltimore. Burn on you crazy flames.

I got a solid 8 hours of sleep last night. Woke up feeling amazing. It’s amazing how much I think the world owes me after I slept well. I’m sleepy after a large meal? How dare I be sleepy I slept well last night. Frustrated after a tough call? But I can’t be mad- I slept well last night!

Go for a run in the rain to see that the world is new and small.
