I like the transparency shown within FSSB update issued in the past hour. Whilst I trust the board greatly, with most of them being people I’ve voted for, and other good members there, it’s important we have increased transparency and it’s great to see. Good, clear answers to questions too. 🤍💙

A man named Steve Dale (oops, sorry for swearing) said there wasn’t much interest in football in the town of Bury. Upwards now of 7️⃣7️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ tickets sold for fan-owned Bury Football Club at the 9th tier of English football. It’s beautiful what can be done when football clubs are ran by people who care.

Now that voting has closed for deciding who represents us on the board during the next 3 years, we need to back whoever is added, if you voted for them or not. Regarding community aspect/aims, the club & stadium is & continues to grow as what we all want it to be off the pitch! A club should represent the town, it’s people & be hub for the whole community in regards to football. Things going on now after hard work & future initiatives planned too. Love it.

The work doesn’t stop. - Disability footy for our most vulnerable, kicking off in 3 days after months of work. - Plans for something else began last month, I’ll be getting VERY stuck into that, again, so the club is for everybody! - My own plans in future, just delayed, myself improved.

Amazing work here 🤩👏🏼. Amongst other things, pan-disability football beginning this month too, initially for young kids, after many months of work. The town has shamefully lacked it for decades, and I’m overjoyed both that it’s happening and that I can be a part of it. Itching for it to start. 🤍💙

Aaron Chalmers: Beyond great work we do with various types of analysis, there’s a type of player, especially in certain moments that I’ve learnt since 2020 that wins you titles. I like Hockenhull (👌), plus others but Chalmers is the closest to that gritty bastard who gets hands on titles. Big miss!

WD&C were better, simple as; solid in defence, great midfield press, finished their chances. You’ll get reactionary, very emotional posts about players, play style, formation & as I heard at HT, management. But keep your heads, support. One match, but hurts. Sprint to the line needs to begin soon.

Others hate it (obviously) but it’s how we should be operating, attracting the best proven players at this level and getting them in 🤍💙

I’m OVERJOYED to be a part of getting this in place! I had to stop playing at 7 until 10 due to my disability & to put it mildly, it wasn’t a nice feeling that I still remember today. There’s graft behind the scenes, this is exactly something #buryfc should be doing, football is for everybody!

We’ve had a great start, unbeaten until recently, mad FA Cup run, due to a squad who fight every match & show incredible quality. We’ve now got that same side with top reinforcements added. We’re sometimes quick to overreact, but get behind this team, we make a difference on here & at matches.

I’ve played about with some top 3 point predicting. Rammy: 43-48 points. #BuryFC: 45-48 points. Chad: 39-42 points. In short, it’s fucking December! There’s plenty to play for! And over 4 months to go! We’ve had a dip (it’s going to happen!) but time to get back on track and smash 4 big games!

Slip ups happen. Litherland aren’t a better team than us but on the night, I’m told they played the conditions better than us. There won’t be another year in the counties, we won’t be losing many more games, but we will lose some more as that’s what happens. Behind the lads Saturday. Put it right.

Every 3rd December I feel I should post something. But what I said in 2022 suffices. The first 15 years weren’t easy, much harder than I made it look, certainly when I knew how to crack on in my teens to hide it, but got through it, only pride and the learnt resilience left. Whilst it makes me feel old seeing him go from a fresh faced teenager into the grand old man role there's something a bit heart warming about this!

Unfortunately I received a message last week saying the Bury part didn’t make the final cut when the penultimate draft went to the publisher. However, for someone to want to write positively about #buryfc in an important bit of literature after visiting, it shows we must be doing something right!

5 weeks today until the biggest league game of the season vs Rammy. We’ll be top by then, but what a day it’ll be! All need to be full of Turkey, stuffing & cheese. Hangover sorted out by a few in the pub before the game. Collection for North Lancashire air ambulance & Bury Hospice too!

A sneak at part of what you will hopefully see in the weeks and months to come. We keep growing this football club onto new levels. We should be proud despite the noise, what is being done quietly by the team leading us, empowering any of us who want to commit to making this club better, to do so.

I'm really pleased that Bury FC have acted quickly to address any immediate concerns of business continuity and to address who will be filling the gaps caused by last week's resignations.
