When someone who was one of your best friends ghosts you for a truly bogus reason. I messaged that I was in the ER when I was in France, which I don’t even remember doing, and didn’t give an update for nine hours. My kid and I were there alone, so we were kinda dealing with a lot in those hours.

I don’t usually regret merging layers, but I’m regretting merging the bleachers with the soft brush set to 5% opacity. That’s how you get soft focus. Someone close said that and the light reflections makes it look AI. I guess soft focus in the background and reflections can’t be done anymore either.

Addendum to my earlier posts: While I have qualms about all manners of #AI right now due to lack of consent in scraping, my primary concern is #generativeAI. Using it to change verb tenses? Whatever. Using it to write for you, then claiming you’re a #writer now? No. You’re not. Stop pretending.

I’ve heard the cries about people not always having much time. Few of us do. How you prioritize your non-work time is on you. I nixed cable and ALL streaming, and go to maybe one movie a year. I write rather than watch because writing matters more. I the shower or while cooking, I go through plots.

If not having #AI access to the books of uncompensated #authors means you have no access to #writing, then you’re not a writer. Even people with all manners of disabilities already write #books without AI, and always have. Also, writing on your own is free. AI is NOT. Free is accessible. AI isn’t.

The claim that #AI “democratizes” writing means that, without access to the #books of #authors like me who receive nothing, someone else couldn’t participate in #writing. Since you have to pay to access AI, this actually leaves out poor people. Doing your OWN writing is what’s accessible, not AI.

Does anyone take feel sick over what is going on with #AI? How work of real #authors is being stolen and used in #LLMs so that “authors” can generate competing books? We’ve even got assholes claiming copyrights are wrong and should he nullified and that this is “democratizing” things. Um…no.
