Well it’s been 2 years in a row now that one of my best friends and I have done hotpot for Christmas dinner. And this year we had another join us and I’m glad he did. Hoping that @sodders.bsky.social becomes a regular with us on the holidays. 😁

Found out recently that Monday I’ll be at the office for a company lunch for the holiday and then we’re cut loose until the following Monday. Granted I’ll still have to be “available” for work on Tuesday and Friday, but if you come up with some last minute emergency you can get bent.

It’s cold as shit outside right now. I’m not going anywhere this evening. Nothing on tv until after the holiday, so I’m enjoying Harry Potter movies with some popcorn.

It’s a wee bit chilly today… Wound up wearing my AKHG longjohns with my jeans and hoodie today at the office to stay cozy. Still want to go back home and sleep though.

I just found out that one of my best friends is moving thousands of miles away by the end of the year. I’m a little shaken by this but I know that I’m one of the select few that they intend on keeping touch with.

And what else can go wrong… I find my cat lifeless on the floor next to my chair in the living room after returning from the vet’s office with my best friend after him putting his pup to sleep. Mr Bean was ill with FIV and Leukemia but he was fine earlier today.

My best friend had to let his 14yo pup go today… Why does tragedy always have to hit on the holidays…
