OTD in 2016, I retired from the working world. My first free day was spent at a greyhound adoption event, wearing the cool T-shirt that was among my retirement gifts. Haven't missed working once in all these 10 years.

This sign hung at a bus station in Arkansas. The letters were cut from an actual bus, the seller told us. We later donated it to our adoption program's annual auction fundraiser, and it brought a nice sum for the kennel.

My neighborhood has several great danes. We spotted one being walked yesterday. My husband, peering from afar, asked, "Is that a Great Dane?" Not being particularly impressed by this one, I replied, "I think it's more a mun-dane." (With apologies to any danes that are really great.)
