One last flight for the day… then a quick 2 hour drive home from Jacksonville. Vacation was great.. as always.. excited to be home and back in my bed.

What a last day in Germany… meant to have a lazy morning sleeping in at the hotel in Frankfort.. ended up out of bed and outside due to a fire alarm. On the 4 hr drive to Munich.. we had a 45 min detour because of a highway closure. Then the restaurant sent 1 of our 8 waters with our delivery order

A quiet under the weather day in Germany.. on the bright side, it was a planned down day… on the less bright side, our traveling party has all picked up a bit of the crud

…what a world we live in right now.. the nation is hurting.. my friends are hurting.. people I’m vaguely familiar with online are hurting… I’m a few thousand miles from home and ready to be back in my own bed…. But… I’m seeing interesting things this week

Let me tell you a story about travel stress. I will be stressed about the rental car until I’m in it. I’ll be stressed about the hotel until I have the key and put my bags down. I will be stressed from now until tomorrow around noon eastern….

My favorite part of social media is that I can use this place as a private journal. I would love to have more time to spend with <redacted> but life means I have too much going on. Work… family… softball… the kind of time I’d like is reserved for other people.

Another weekend… another day of waking up at 745… always exciting…

i've closed my rings on my watch for 50 days in a row.. that seems good, right? But.. while doing this.. i've gotten my thyroid under control and i'm gaining weight. Despite my monthly daily exercise average being 60 min a day.. awesome. fun. that's not demoralizing.

The spinny 20-“sided” roulette wheel

I finally got my forge master dice… they’re a cool set of dice that rotate around an inner shaft. The 20-sided die is a separate bit that houses a second 20-“sided” roulette wheel inside of it. Super cool. We won’t talk about the stand or extras..

I should probably stop waiting until the end of the day to get my exercise in…but I did it. All rings..46 in a row

Man… I shouldn’t let it. But counting birthday wishes on a single hand (not counting family living in my house)… stung. I should be used to it…

I guess this is good… over the past month, I’m averaging 61+ min of exercise per day… and 32+ min per day over 2025 so far.

As a November baby, I would like to remind my fellow November babies to not think too hard about what this means about your parents…

This weekend is EDC in Orlando.. my middle kid works at an ER in Orlando.. Friday night, a 20 yr old Jane doe arrived unresponsive after taking some mix of pills at the festival and will likely never go home.. please.. please be careful out there…

these days.. far more often than not.. i am an awkward dork.. and don't express myself very well. i mostly feel out-of-mental-communicative-shape. Even in situations where i am comfortable and have the greenlight to flirt, i am a huge awkward dork. I need to practice more..

Weekend of softball was not great… but the clouds and the moon this afternoon were really lovely.

Man… softball sucked today… coaches brought their marriage problems to the field… some players brought their struggles with them.. I get the human side.. but holy crap we got smoked. Tomorrow is another game.

Making a few second video showing the change in my face shape over the past 11 years is a good way to remind myself how much I let apathy and depression consume me while I consumed everything …

And… the last difficult one of the month is closed.. now I just need to exist for 15 more hours to make my October goal… not bad me..

At the end of September, I made a promise to myself that I’d close my rings every day in October… I’m almost all the way there.. one more day… I took a walk to close my rings.. but I don’t enjoy walking.. so I hopped on my bike.. 30 min done…
