Last night we broke out Buffy the Vampire Slayer: the Board Game for the first time in a long time. I thought this thematic co-op was headed for the hand me down pile but we ended up having a great time despite losing to Glorificus. This one is a keeper. #boardgames

Dragonkeepers - come for the art, stay for the game play. And the exceptional card design. The game requires me to know what's on both sides of each card, and I never actually have to flip a card over to check. Rule book is top notch as well. #boardgames

Tic Tac K.O. If there was ever a #boardgame that begged for a neoprene mat, this was it. The paper board is the weakest spot in an otherwise fun, quick strategy game with that TeeTurtle art we all know and love.

Hickory Dickory is a #boardgame that really doesn't get enough love. Besides being wonderfully thematic and charming, it is one of the thinkiest worker placement games I've seen. You have to put a ton of thought not only into every mouse's move, but the timing of that move as well.

DC Deckbuilder outstays its welcome most of the time but I still love it. I picked up the Arkham set primarily for the art but the game play was definitely solid. #boardgames

Summoner Wars is my #3 #boardgame of all time, yet it still manages to get better every time I play it.

Had a truly awesome #boardgames day for two yesterday. We played Jewels for the Emperor Penguin (not pictured), Wrath of Dragons, Match of the Century, and Santorini. 100% worth taking the afternoon off work for.

On one hand, I am listening to public radio, staying informed on international news, and concerned about the world I live in. On the other hand, I only know where the place being discussed (Kinshasa) is because I've played so many games of Pandemic. #boardgames

Played Ethnos at 6 last night and Carcassonne at 5 (no pics). As someone who primarily plays #boardgames at 2, it fascinates me how much the games change at higher player counts. I love that it pushes me into new strategies, which helps level the playing field against less experienced players.

I objectively do not need another Halloween #boardgame in my life, but of all the GenCon game coverage I've seen, Spooktacular is the game that grabs me the most.

What's your favorite #boardgame you never manage to win? Mine is Fjords. I love this game. I will play it any time, at any player count. And I cannot win it to save my life. It is one of my most played games every single year and I have something like three victories to my name.

The Radlands expansion has stickers to update/expand the rule book and honestly this should be the standard for #boardgames moving forward.

Tonight we played the #boardgame that I believe has been on our Shelf of Shame for the longest - Wrath of Dragons! We picked this up as part of a blind charity box in 2018(ish) and never managed to table it. Until now. We've been missing out. This game is surprisingly solid despite its age.

Hey #boardgames fans! PaxU badges go on sale next week! If you're thinking of going and can only go one day, aim for Friday. Not as crowded, plenty of inventory. Saturday is the busiest day. Sunday is family day so lots of kids. Definitely plenty to do/see/play/buy if you can swing all three days.

Senjutsu: Battle for Japan! I didn't think I needed another minis skirmish #boardgames but it turns out I did. This one feels like it gets better as you get better at it, so we definitely need to get it to the table more. Side note: the senru on my card is terrifying.

But I figure Wizkids is big enough not to care what some rando on bluesky says, so: Dear Lord the new D&D board game looks both tedious & terrible.

Also got Ethnos to the table last night. We prefer the look of 1st edition, but as we (hopefully) get more factions & expansions for 2nd, I expect that one to see more action. The game play for both versions is excellent. You really can't go wrong. Except by forgetting to take pictures. #boardgames

I bought Dragonkeepers for the art but it turned out to be a pretty fun #boardgame! Easy to learn and just thinky enough for an end of the night "just one more game" candidate. Very excited to play this one with my nieces and nephew (8, 10,and, 12 years old) on vacation later this week.

If the new #peacemaker opening is not the cast having an air guitar competition to Hardcore Superstar's You Can't Kill My Rock And Roll, I am going to be deeply disappointed.

Cyclades Legendary Edition was Legen...wait for it...DARY! They really did an incredible job of pulling the expansion content together in a way that made the game feel epic but not overwhelming. I highly recommend this one.

I haven't posted here in weeks because work has been kicking my ass, but I did manage to get a couple #boardgames in. I even remembered to take pictures of two of them! Rock Hard 1977 (not new to me but it's been awhile) and Burning Banners (new to me and likely to crack my top 20, if not higher).

Now that I got to the end of my top 100 #boardgames list, I have no idea what to post here. This has been bothering me all day.
