Me: “ugh I’m either so so so burned out right now or I caught the cold that’s going around, I really feel like shit” *eats something* *sits down* Me: “okay nevermind I’m fine”

I have so many Screenwriting things to do AND YET I chose to pursue a promotion at my money job as if it wouldn’t get in the way of Screenwriting, wtf was I thinking tbh

Things are getting wild(er) at work and my husband remains the very best at gassing me up

For me it's the way the press pool just quietly went along with it because he's the president The entire point of this country is that we don't have to let some guy do whatever he wants just because of his title. We don't have to respect him or go along with him just because he holds an office

I cannot recommend enough having little readings of your scripts with actors so you can hear your dialogue out loud. It's really such an efficient way to nail down what's working and what just straight up sounds unnatural.

The closest thing to “Our Song” that I have with my husband is Suddenly Seymour from LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and I feel like that’s extremely on brand

What a nice little mood boost at nearly 1am!

Do I text my literary manager at 1am my time (even later his time) that I don’t think I can meet an established deadline because of my upcoming 70-hour work weeks?? Or do I wait for a reasonable business hour to break the news?

I know this is turning into a “complain about my job” account instead of a “screenwriting” account but i just really need to share this very sweet text I got from one of my crew members after a fully horrible 13 hour work day 😭

The main problem with being in charge of things is that you have to be in charge of things *when things are going wrong* and that’s the worst part Probably not a great sign that I’m wondering 3 weeks into my new job if I should have even applied 🙃

Unfortunately I have a disease where if people compliment me and I really needed to hear the compliment I simply start crying

I gotta come clean - every single time I visit NYC I'm left with this nagging feeling that maybe I should move there, maybe I should have lived there at least for a little bit by now LA was lovely but I did not get even a hint of that feeling! (1/2)

I’m never sure how much I’m allowed to share at what time but I had a really great in-person meeting yesterday with some pretty great news and I’m trying to keep my expectations realistic but dang it’s hard when my excitement is bursting at the seams to share

One nice thing about being in Pacific Time so briefly when my body is still on Central Time is that I get to cosplay as a morning person Showered, packed, and ate a fancy breakfast all before 9am?? Unheard of! (My body thinks it’s 11am)

Almost the end of a wonderful, extremely brief trip. Do I take this rubber duck home with me from the hotel?? Y/N

Met with a high school friend who lives here in LA and she scolded me for walking fifteen minutes to meet her rather than calling an uber. She was also shocked to hear that I took a bus from the airport to downtown and then took a train to my hotel. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t mean to brag but I made it through airport security and only one cranky TSA guy yelled at me 😇

Today while in a panicked walk back to work on my dinner break (long story) I helped a woman trying to get to "the airport". Told her to take the Blue Line all the way to O'Hare. Six hours later, I'm left wondering whether she said she was going to O'Hare at all. There are two airports here. 😬 1/2
