Took some detail shots of the Moon, since it was so bright that it was kind of killing being able to do most other observations :)

Some shots of Jupiter I took back on 25-Nov-2025 that I just got around to processing (still learning this part) 🙂. This was during a 'lunar eclipse' of the moon Ganymede - the dark shadow on the planet. The moon itself is dot a bit to the left of the planet (the further out one is Europa) 🙂

Processed up about 2 1/2 nights of data on a feature known as the Cygnus Wall, a portion of the rather large North America Nebula (NGC 7000). This is a turbulant star forming region about 2600 light years from us.

Processing experiment with my #Unistellar Odyssey Pro - captured using 'science mode' versus 'enhanced' mode, to better control on exposure/gain, and to get full native resolution vs 2x2 binned images. One hour integration (900 frames) processed in PixInsight, and pretty picture of M33!

NGC-7331 (and about 7 of his galactic buddies) - a very similar galaxy to our Milky Way (even though more recent research has found our galaxy to be a barred spiral) - shot last night in LRGBHa.

Now that we're getting in to it being almost Fall , this target seemed like a good choice, with Halloween on the way. This is LDN-1306 - Ghost Of Cassiopeia -which really DOES look the part! 🙂

Did some galaxy shooting last night - this is M33 (a.k.a Triangulum Galaxy), the second closest major galaxy to ours (after Andromeda).

Shot of LDN-1218 (sometimes called the Cave Nebula) in narrowband (SHO) with RGB stars. This is a 'dark nebula' in front of a brighter emission nebula, which is why there are so many fewer stars in the lower left portion of the field (just some nearby ones), compared to the rest of the field.

The band playing "Fortunate Son" might have been the best part of the whole parade. In case you don't know the lyrics, here they are. A perfect gift for a flawed man.

Another observation project of another SPP (short period pulsator) - specifically an RR Lyrae type variable. This one is TZ Aur - a star whose brightness cycles every 9 hour, cycling up and down in brightness by a multiple 3.6x each time. #astronomy #aavso #unistellar #citizenscience
