She hesitates at the door, her steps coming to a standstill. For one singular moment, there seemed an almost earnestness to the statement, one that caught her off guard. Her mouth fell open, wishing to reciprocate... but instead, her jaw snapped shut. Instead, with a nod, she dismissed herself.

Surprised at the sudden agreeance, she gave a small nod. "This will take time. It is a skillset that takes a lifetime to master." She motions toward a nearby interior, walking beside her. "But such trivial barriers are below one of your talents, surely."

Taking the back of his hand, she placed the tools in his palm. With that, and one last look at that which he left behind, she turned away from him. "A good question." And one she suspected none had the answer to but him. She gave a small, perhaps phoned in bow, and moved to exit the room.

She gives another, small bow of the hands. "The decision is in your hands, Fūrén."

"These are better instruments than whatever it is you've already been using." She pressed then further into his chest. "I am meant for healing. That is my role. It is time you learned how to deal with all the sides of what your role is. Even the ones you do not want to do."

She had gotten her interest, at the very least. Maybe something could be built off of that. "The offer is open. I am happy to teach you."

Steadying her hands, Wen Qing pulled the last suture through, the arm replaced as best it can be for a person with no natural healing processes left. Stepping away from the body, she took her tools, and placed them against Xue Yang's chest. "For you to cease talking."

"You live eternally." She pointed out. "If this skill does not fit your whims, you've lost no time at all."

"What I would like..." She begins, her fingers fighting her as she attempts to finish the suture, the body of this poor soul struggling against her. "...is not something you are capable of."

There was a certain horror to that answer - but not a horror that she was unused to, even from other, more terrifying humans. "Would it not best suite you to be able to save such interests as you observe them? And garner appreciation in return?"

She takes a sharp inhale, one meant to even herself out before answering, but instead it simply brought in the smell of death and rough, and causes her to cough. "We all have our talents." She managed to choke out, a far less controlled answer between the smell and frustration.

"And please, forgive me if this is presumptuous..." She begins. "But it does appear you have a certain curiosity toward mortals."

Without looking up at him, she continued to keep her attention focused on closing the incision. "I did not pick up this profession to heal those that have already been murdered. Were it my choice, we would not be this far down this path. This is your path, not one I choose to walk myself."

She pauses for a moment, thinking of a good pitch. "You wish to collect the appreciation of the people, yes?"

"Which?" She answered flatly, here entire being trying to control her stomach and not react to the horror of the moment. "Your actions, or the reactions of the man you tore the tongue out of?"

"Oh, I apologize deeply." She quickly replied, giving a small bow. "I meant others, not yourself. I assumed such was beyond your realm of worry."
