I had the pleasure of teaching college students through Golden Apple last week! We spent our time analyzing stereotypes in education and Dr. Bishop's work with Windows, Mirrors, and Sliding Doors. We had fun with stickers, children's books, new knowledge, and discussion.

Today is my bonus birthday. I woke up 21 years ago on this date with a blood clot traveling in my left leg. It eventually got stuck in my knee.. I should have died of DVT that day, but God’s grace allowed me more time ❤️

It was standardized testing Day One today. I taught nothing. I didn't have to do a testing room. I just helped a small group of seniors with research & presentations. Why am I completely exhausted, sprawled across my bed, unable to move?

A.P. African American Studies has worked its way to examining the Black Panther Party. Students learned how the government targeted this community-centered group but stole many of its concepts. We ended today by examining The 10 Point Program and discussing what demands could be achieved.
