Ethan would remain calm for a grand total of zero seconds, if you decided to toy with him! Baptiste is far more patient than Ethan, so you'd be able to toy with him for a while, before his inner monster came out!

Baptiste enjoys existing too much to start an apocalypse on purpose, so it'd be some airheaded mistake on his part! Even though Ethan hates this world, he's not petty enough to start an apocalypse, either. If something terrible ever happened to his wife and daughter, though...all bets are off!

Ethan has never experienced snow. Being the shameless grump that he is, though, he fully suspects he'd hate it, if he ever had the chance to!

As vampires, Ethan and Baptiste are both immortal already. Baptiste loves it, while Ethan hates it!

Baptiste's a pretty shameless smoocher, as long as you're a monster and not some icky human! Even though Ethan comes across as standoffish, once he's comfortable enough to let his guard down around you, he's EXTREMELY affectionate. Anyone who's only seen his cranky, loner side would be shocked!

Ethan's wife and daughter would both be gone. Baptiste would still be around, though, since he's a vampire like him. Grief would consume Ethan, and as someone who can't stand modern technology, the futuristic kind would annoy him to no end, so I think it's safe to say he wouldn't handle this well!

Ethan wouldn't stand a chance against a duck! As for Baptiste, he's been able to handle a cranky disaster like Ethan so far, so harassment from a duck probably wouldn't faze him, either... 😂

Ethan's so foul-mouthed that any child around him long enough will learn to swear through osmosis--he never has to put in the effort to actually TEACH 'em! (His wife is still upset over what their daughter's first word ended up being, for example... 😅)

Spencer and Jay, the characters I originally planned to star in the Undeath of Me, before Ethan took over. They'll still be part of the cast, but I now have to wait to introduce them, for plot reasons! (Been itching to work on Spencer's prequel story, though, so I may stop neglecting THAT soon! 😅)

Forcing complete opposites to interact long-term and watching the madness unfold! (Even better if this leads to the two of 'em becoming friends or lovers, despite it all!)

Ethan HATES interacting with new people. Baptiste, however, LOVES it, and will happily chat a stranger's ear off while Ethan runs off to hide somewhere. (The fact that Ethan was ever a door-to-door salesman just shows how desperate he was for money, LOL.)

Ethan: Yep. Even though he hasn't killed anyone yet, he can't help but view himself as bad, now that he's a vampire. Never felt all that good as a human, either! 😔 Baptiste: Nope! But only because he's going by vampire standards. If forced to view things as a human, he MIGHT acknowledge he's bad. 😅

Ethan was originally a minor character, who was more quiet and emotionless. Now he's a cranky, foul-mouthed protagonist! Baptiste used to be minor, too. Gave his character more to do, when I was too lazy to create someone new for certain subplots. He's also a bit more airheaded than first planned!

Ethan only has enough patience for his own offspring. He'd fall apart trying to deal with a daycare's worth of other people's children! Baptiste would be even worse, since he's not used to being around kids, in general. He'd completely forget to feed 'em, for example, without Ethan reminding him! 😅

Ethan and Baptiste are both difficult to kill, since the vampire lore in my series doesn't follow typical tropes. (Sunlight isn't harmful, and stakes, while paralyzing, aren't fatal.) Those who possess the power to kill them are neither human nor vampire...and that's as spoilery as I'm gonna get. 😅

Ethan would react to getting shoved the same way he does to nearly everything else--by cussing 'em out and flipping them off! 😅

Ethan's very much a pessimist, which he'd argue is the same as being a realist. Baptiste is far more optimistic, in comparison, although there are things that'll trigger his pessimistic side occasionally!

At this point in the Undeath of Me, Ethan would choose to stop his past self from becoming a salesman, since that's what led to him meeting and getting turned into a vampire by Baptiste!

As a vampire, Baptiste often goes clubbing to hunt for victims, and to dance with fellow monsters! Even though clubbing isn't Ethan's thing, Lilibeth always found a way to make him go, back when they were dating. He tolerated it for her sake, and would be slightly less grumpy if he liked the music!
