Furthermore I just don't get the psychology of this stuff. Why would someone working at or with a game company put their job on the line so that another guy can get the credit for saying a new mario game is happening soon

I think this case rubs me the wrong way specifically because it feels quite cynical. A bloke posting anonymously is just doing it for the love of the game but here you have a guy that seems like he's trying to build a name for himself.

Being honest it is quite annoying seeing leaks about stuff when the guy behind them is very reputable. I don't mind stuff like "there'll be a direct on this date" but when you can just rattle off stuff that is going to happen it does take the fun out of it
