I used to have this aversion to "melody" and "harmony" in music. I think a lot of young people do. Maybe it came from being classically trained and maybe that was combined with angst to revolt against that "sound." I'm not entirely sure.

You know what feature I really need in Renoise? Proper, per-track parallel processing. Either that or Splitter needs to except eternal sidechain from any source. I love ya, Renoise but, some days I be start eyeing up other DAWs somethin fierce.

I'm realizing why I loved the original Eva series so much. It's not perfect. It's broken. But it bites. It scratches. It's absurd, silly and it's mean. It exposes very simple human social contradictions and it forces you to simmer in the slop. Did I mention that it's silly?

Rewatching the original Eva series. I can't believe how much the Reload movies rewrite things. It felt like the movies just told the same story but in a cleaner way (with a happy ending). I couldn't have been more wrong. The original series is SO vastly different in tone, pacing, story and delivery.
