Sometimes the simplest answer is the answer. Not everything has to be complicated.

It's wonderful to know I'm able to retrain my brain. Over the past year I've been working on looking for the good things in my life. I've got a journal I'm using to record what I notice. I've noticed my brain is now looking for the good things and bringing them to my attention during the day.

The best part of my workday is coming home to my furry overlord. All is right with the world as soon as I step through that front door.

After this post, I've done everything I can think of to delay sitting down and getting some writing done.

Feeling relieved my emotions and mood have taken a turn for the better.

I'm learning there are times I just have to show up and write. I may produce complete garbage that day, but I need to show up. If I don't show up on the crap days I probably won't show up for the good days.

I'm always excited to stretch outside my comfortable box of life until I start feeling the pain. That's when I have to dig deep and remind myself over and over that it will get better, I just need to show up and put in the work.

Life's too short to not incorporate some fun into our lives. It doesn't have to cost money. It doesn't have to take a lot of your time. It just needs to bring you peace or happiness.

My little furry overlord slept in this morning and then spent time laying in the sun absorbing all the rays of sunshine he could.

Some days you survive. That's ok. Not every day has to be productive or a good day. Sometimes you win by surviving.

When I shifted my mindset from being upset about the changes that took place in the office and simply accepted the changes as being my new reality, my entire attitude towards going into the office changed. Wish I had followed that advice sooner.
