I can only assume that Cuckoo Song didn't make it onto We Love Life because it was too personal? (Or considered too similar to Bad Cover Version?) Some frankly astonishing lyrics and a Sondheim melody. It would've been one of the highlights of the album. Just astonishing

Pulp's first album since 2001 may be upon us! From Safeway to Tesco, we're up to the gunnels with excitement. All eyes turn, this Saturday, to The Jonathan Ross Show — appropriately, where the band last appeared on telly, back in 2013. All this waiting — have we finally made it?

A press release briefly appeared on Pulp's website earlier today seemingly confirming a new album is coming, that it's entitled 'More', and that it contains — among other things — some older material as well as backing vocals from "the Eno family". "No AI was involved during the process."
