Totally agree, I literally did not know people commonly say this. Maybe I've been spoiled but some pretty amazing advocates. Most youth cannot drive, and there's plenty of people that can't drive for various reasons but can cycle.

MCPS shared potential sites for the relocation of Sligo Creek Elementary School, a walkable neighborhood school serving downtown Silver Spring. Three are park sites near the urban core, one is unspecified commercial space and the rest are in low-density neighborhoods not walkable to downtown.

Went to SOS (Save Our SSIMS) rally. Community members, parents and students were dismayed over mcps  superintendent's proposal to BOE to relocate SCES and convert SSIMS into a holding school. People cited:
