I hit a 1500 day streak on Amaru yesterday, the self care app I've been using by @fogofmaya.bsky.social I once hit a consecutive 64-note run on the memory bell game, and while I can't break my record, I've been easily doing 25-30 in a row this week. It's a fun way to stretch my short-term memory.

Something I always thought was a neat touch about the GBC Hamtaro game, is that the game boy dress up accessory you can buy is different depending on what type of GB you currently have the game in. Which isn't too weird considering this was made after the GBA existed, but it's cool all the same.

I was playing Hamtaro last night and got to the crow, and I remembered how when I first played it when I was 12, the only word I knew here was "Go-P", so if you tell him that's the word for "friend", he calls you that for the rest of the game. "If you ever need my help, just shout Go-P!" 😆

I've been wanting to play Hamtaro for GBC lately but I thought the battery in my game died and wouldn't save anymore. Apparently I never actually checked again to confirm this, because not only can it hold a save, but it still had my nearly completed save from over 15 years ago 🙃

Next month is special for me, since it's the anniversary of two shinies I caught on Pokemon Crystal as a kid. On 4/5/03 I caught Meowth, and the very next day I caught Houndour! I felt so lucky! I just finished Houndour after finding the perfect yarn the other day. #pokemon #crochet

24 years ago today, on Pokemon Silver, I caught my first ever shiny, a Swinub. I was still playing on my brick GB too, so if I hadn't happened to have the sound up, I wouldn't have even noticed! Then strangely, years later on Heart Gold, my brother caught his first shiny and it was Swinub too! 🤯

Today marks the second birthday of my Baashear plushie! I made him shortly after Echoes of Mana had its tragic end of service announcement. He took me two weeks of off and on work, totaling about 55 hours, and is by far the most detailed thing I've ever made. #echoesofmana

I'm a little late for Pokemon Day, but here's a Drifloon hat I've been working on this week. I actually designed one years ago, but I gave it to my cousin when I left town, so I made myself a new one. I really love how the face and the hearts came out.

Got another chibi Blackwing made, and I actually love this one way more than I thought I would. Blizzard the Far North was the first one I found and the card that got me into Blackwings.

Made another chibi of one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Blackwing Kalut the Moonshadow. Brushed yarn hair is really game changer.
