Posting a thing I did at work today because it's always quiet enough on Sundays to bring my colored pencils and sketchbook. x3 Did some practice with shading using complementary colors instead of analogous. And...it came out unexpectedly DANG GOOD. Yeah I'm gonna be doing more of this. XD #artwork

Showing off some more sketches I did recently. For the first, I wanted to practice hands and ended up doing mostly scaled draconic talons/digits; been loving the aesthetic of scales/limbs on a humanoid form. The second is a wyvern base design for an adoptable idea. Hard to get wyverns right, though.

Small book news, I've gone ahead and re-listed the first two on Amazon, for the sake of ease for people; I've been getting asked more about them lately, and they may be easier to find this way. :3 As for the third, it's final conflict big action scene time. *Raises fist* FOR THE ARCANE.

Got back a bit into drawing lately, so here's two of my D&D characters. The sketch on the left is Kesserine, a rabbitfolk (in the Forgotten Realms, a Harengon) Monk, and the fullcolor on the right is from my current game, Silas "Trigger", the Tiefling (infernal-blood humanoid) Horizon Walker Ranger.

I wonder if I could get paid for creating those story prompts I see on social media. It's fun randomly thinking of them, anyway. X3 So I'll suggest prompts every so often for inspiration. Try this beginning line: "It all started when I found a magician's book and a murderer's ring." Go nuts. XP

I love the thought that some of us never stop creating imaginary friends when we grow up. They just become a world or two of OCs. X3

I messed around more in Tiny Glade today because I didn't quite know what to do with myself. x3 I fixed my mage tower cottage by adding a door to the house, after creating a whole lakeside manor, with front and back views. I could build for hours, but one only gets a small bit of space. #tinyglade

Something I discovered about writing a novel with two storylines that eventually intersect is that you might have to keep track of how much time each line takes before the event so it lines up. Thankfully I somehow seem to keep the time disparity of both within a few days of each other.

I haven't posted anything I made here in a bit, so here's a little mage-tower cottage I built while messing with Tiny Glade, which is pretty much just a build-pretty-things game, but it's super zen and relaxing. x3 Once I get used to the controls I may just build whole villages and towns.

Book update: Third book is now nearly two-hundred pages long (about the same as the first two), and I still have maybe five or six chapters left to write. Plot points are being resolved and Chekov's Guns fired...endgame time, folks! Reminder: Ko-Fi has my books too! ko-fi.com/therisentide

Took a picture of Phoenix being pretty. :3 He's now just about five feet long. His current favorite thing is making tunnels in his aspen substrate, including under his water bowl, which prompted me to put a paper towel under it so stuff doesn't get in it. xP

So I've been pulled back into World of Warcraft lately, and those who know me can probably guess why: the Dracthyr race. Honestly, I find them so fun to customize and create. xP Plus they ARE fun to play, and their Evoker hero class is quite the powerhouse.

There was a time in my life I thought, "If a dragon were to spirit me away, I wouldn't hesitate to go." It was that thought that helped prompt my books. It's why I write fiction...I need an escape, and I know others do, too. Fight your demons bravely, but also, sometimes, go with the dragon. :)

If there's one thing I love seeing in these dark times, it's that pretty much every single home I pass in my city that once flew Trump flags have now taken them down. People seem to now be coming back to their senses after having seen the truth of him and of the people surrounding him.
