I have received emails from 7 different neuroscientists today, for 7 unrelated reasons. Normally, I receive 0 emails from neuroscientists, and sometimes texts from 1 neuroscientists.

Watching the Drew Carey Show brings me a cathartic sense of peace. So does finishing an IRB... I think that's basically it.

I just had to write an email that was simultaneously, complex, but low stakes. It took me about 15 minutes. I'm just left thinking how A.I. could possibly have made my life easier in this regard... it can't? It would have taken me just as long writing a prompt to explain the situation.

Every Friday I meet with my research students, and every Friday I am left wowed by the amazing questions and ideas the have. Today produced four pages of notes of thoughts and ideas, and its just a treat, it really is.

It has taken over three years, but I have finally submitted and IRB that did not require revisions!

I don't understand the need to use AI for emails when you can just hastily send one with zero proofreading.
