Another thought provoking cartoon.

This post helps me to understand what just happened in the #worldseries. Series is tied. Looks like the #bluejays won last night, but the series is not over. I hope #ohtami has a chance to get rested up. He was tired last night after the 6-hour game, late the day before. May the best team win!

This cartoon does a good job of showcasing the new structure being built in DC and how the old one was torn down. I like how the design keeps our eyes moving. Not sure if the key point is the wrecking ball or the tiny flag on top of the White House. I think it's the tiny flag, like small hands.

I am starting to watch a little football for a few reasons, including to keep a friend company, who could use some of that. So I watched the first half of the GB / TX game. I got up, wondered what the final score was. I can understand this post. So thank you, Cooper. We need more of this idea.

Dr. Ian Roberts has been the superintendent of Iowa's largest school district since 2023. He is in the news today because he has been detained. Possibly related to his appearance? Other reasons are pending.

This is a good overview of the POTUS. It helps us to see that we live in a dystopian time, but this might be the new norm, and the future might be hard to imagine.

I sure like this story by #BillMcKibben about using solar to be self-sufficient. My town Albion Michigan has thousands of acres of solar panels just north of town. The deer that used to live there came into town. The good old boys are going to do a little bow hunting in city to help.

This is right after the Labor Day weekend, when we wondered if something had happened to him since he was invisible for longer than ever. I like the little winged monkeys, and everyone knows this classic scene, or combo of scenes, maybe.

So in this one-minute clip, HCR says if you care about democracy - that is what makes you an "American," and let's flood the zone with that message. We still make mistakes, but democracy is the thing we want to honor and serve, even in little ways.

Being from the DC area originally, I enjoy this cartoon with the shapes of the museums. It's like I am on an airplane coming in to land at the Reagan Airport. I wonder what Reagan would think about how things are going? Would he react like he was woke? I think he might have.

Terence Stamp has a face we remember and a name that is hard to spell. I am glad to see him honored for his diverse work. A six-decade career is something we might all aspire to.

I like this video and especially the song they picked to go with it. Sometimes we just need to see something like this about caring.

I like the fire in the furnace, the EPA man having to burn the regulations, then looking out the window to see the smokestacks. This image flows starting with the papers, counterclockwise. The ideas are also counterclockwise to what helps Earth.

I love the classic theme of the Charlie McCarthy style puppet sitting on the big lap of you know who. Love the cross-hatching and tinting. Things are a little scary, but looking at the situation as a cartoon is comforting.

I love this cartoon. I like how the details move our eyes over the panel: pointing hands, rosy cheeks, spots on fur, and curled tails. The dogs know what's up; they recognize the attempts to distract us all. I love the reference to squirrels. I think we are the dogs. We know what's in the box.

How are we supposed to figure all of these tariffs on raw materials out? So American-built cars will cost more now due to copper and steel tariffs? Who knew? I would hope the people making up the new tariffs have this all figured out.

This cartoon has some of my favorite themes. Clouds, the Capital, and Chickens. Congress Chickens Out. Thank you, Pat Byrnes. The feather in the sky is a nice touch. I can visualize a speck of chicken poop on the ground.

Here's another good cartoon by Matt Wuerker. I like his use of lines to show shading and all of the detail in the green goop coming out. I might look for one of those to share. The message here is also helpful of course. It helps us to see the zeitgeist we're in.

This looks like useful information that most of America would be interested in. Saving money, saving the planet. 33% tax credit on some of the big things like roof solar and big batteries. EV cars (probably the American-made ones.) This is something we could share even on Facebook!

I found a new cartoonist to follow. Dana Summers. I like to see animals in cartoons. This cartoon is a great example.

It took me a while to see the person walking on the road, then I realized that is the main point, and the road is our life.

This art is apropos of today's gathering political storms, as well as the accompanying weather storms.

I like this cartoon for several reasons, but the underlying reason is that I like squirrels and I used to have a dog. This distraction technique is valid.

A picture story about Superman, written about two years ago, but focused on his origins and purpose: "to avenge lynching, miscarriage of justice, violence against women, capitalist lobbying for war, arms dealing, and warmongering. Yes, Superman started life as quite the social justice warrior."

I saw this cartoon on Robert Reich, and it depicts something I thought about severe weather in Biblical times. Because we humans were evil, and God wanted to start over. I have to start over on things myself quite often.

I wasn't exactly like this in school, but I did get called out by the teacher when I discovered my sense of humor could get my classmates to laugh, and I learned a new word, "Impudent."

This cartoon by Pat Byrnes reminds me of the Noah's Ark story. About storms. Because the Earth was evil. Not the Earth, but we humans.
