I love the Holodeck as a conceit. You just KNOW they had a bunch of old period costumes and sets lying around the backlot they needed an excuse to use—but it ended up leading to some of the best episodes and story moments in the entire series.

I don't usually agree with those bell curve memes showing the simpleton and the enlightened, robed figure in agreement while the normal guy is seething, but the one about coffee is kind of spot on. Having tried every method, tool and process practical for daily home use, you just can't beat instant.

Demons Roots is really starting to shine! Surprisingly fun and heartfelt writing, memorable characters who you grow to like and root for as you progress, and even the basic JRPG gameplay is executed quite well. I've played much worse from major publishers, lol.

Fifteen-ish hours into Demons Roots. Pleasantly surprised by how well the premise is executed here, it's clear the creator has a deep love for classic JRPGs. It's a shame it has so much eroge content, really—it feels almost like an obligation holding it back rather than a core feature.

Demons Roots really should not be played on the Steam Deck—my initial impression of the game was seriously impacted by the resulting technical issues and weird censorship choices of the patchless version. Having played a few hours on PC, my opinion of the game has risen considerably.

I don't really draw much, but I have a sketching app for my phone that lets me doodle when the mood strikes. For some reason I got carried away drawing yesterday and ended up creating an entire OC. No idea if I'll do more with her, but I like the concept of 'secret shortstack' quite a bit.

Started this RPG Maker game last night called Demons Roots—picked it up blind from a random recommendation. So far it's okay; fairly amateur in terms of gameplay, but the strong point is supposedly the writing and characters, so I'm going to give it a few more hours to win me over.

Trying to read more 'real' books again—Just finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Great stuff! Not always a big fan of surreal fiction, but this manages to hold all of its disparate elements together with a dream logic that makes sense on a visceral level. Really scratches that 'literature' itch.
