The thing is, Trump will have the same federal workers fired by December even if the CR is passed. He’s just saying it now for leverage. He knows it will sway some Democrats who are afraid to vote NO.

Re the Hegseth meeting: don’t forget that Hegseth first made sure that reporters are only allowed to write what the Pentagon “approves.” So unless there are credible leaks afterwards, we may never find out the actual truth, at least for awhile. We’ll get the narrative they want us to hear.

It’s nervewracking just today: Hegseth orders military officials to Virginia for a mystery meeting, and the looming government shutdown, whereby Trump will order workers to be fired and agencies disbanded if the CR doesn’t pass. More distractions to avoid releasing the Epstein files?

Stigmatizing autism, and without evidence, blaming mothers for taking acetaminophen and giving vaccines to their children is way out of line. They blame my mother for being over 35 when she had my brother with autism. She felt guilty all her life.

Tylenol’s lawsuits should be good. Especially since Trump already spouted that people shouldn’t take acetaminophen, using the word Tylenol.

I will miss Robert Redford. When I moved to Boulder, he was considered an icon because he worked at The Sink, a local campus hangout, years before. Even though he wasn’t acting lately, he still was active in the industry in other ways. And he was outspoken about the environment and other issues.

It seems that MAGA is spending more time trying to make the Kirk shooter radicalized by the left than they are about the shooting itself. They really want that narrative.
