Welp. Ever Crisis has announced EoS today on 7/7 (7/8 in Japan). At least we got this lovely wallpaper of Cloud and Aerith around the bonfire as the June 2026 Season Pass.

The theory that Advent Children Cloud, hollow and empty, wishing for a chance to save Aerith just got a MAJOR boost. I've said from the beginning, I think Cloud's desire to save Aerith is the catalyst for this entire Remake series.

#Clerith fans, please answer: So this is probably a coincidence, but someone pointed out it's 9 months til FF7 Revelation releases. It releases "Spring 2027." Spring is associated with new life. I'm a big believer in Aerith having a chlid, but... that's CRAZY if this was intentional.

Can I just say, browsing interviews and reveals so far, cleriths were incredibly on point and so many of them got to the truth quicker than anyone else. #FF7R

Still shadow banned on X so I'll put my thoughts here. 1. Reuniting with Aerith, fulfilling Aerith's wish to find Cloud, and Cloud to find her = I think this is the #1 crux pivotal goal of Remake. 2. Does this mean the clerith artists I miss will come back? Krudears, Halutica, and others?

Confirmed it’s the second one per Hamaguchi’s interview. One ending. Multiple interpretations (scenes unlock and alter the story) depending on your choices.

In Japanese the last lines in the trailer from Cloud are addressed to his entire party. It sounds like after he founds his true self and talks to the party. He says not to worry, and "Let's save the planet" in Japanese.

The end of Advent Chidlren isn't a bad ending in the context of Advent Children, but Advent Children IS a bad ending in the context of FF7. - Hundreds, possibly thousands, of people die of Geostigma - Denzel's parents die - And a LOT of children die It's a survival story, not a happy one. #FF7

I don't think #FF7 Remake is a sequel in the traditional sense. Yogachara Buddhism and Jung's Theory of Collective Consciousness squash that idea. I personally believe Cloud's unfulfilled desire to save Aerith and permanently erase the trauma of Sephiroth... is the root of this entire series.

The Ever Crisis 2.5 Anniversary event was more Aerith-focused, but Tifa gets a new outfit as well. My take? This event was to make up for the fact that Aerith won't be in any more story updates. FF7 story updates are now continuing on with Disc 2 content.

Unsure if I'll make an X account when FF7R Part 3 news is announced. X's algorithm is genuinely bad. It floods you with content of the last things you liked even if those were one-offs. It literally pays people to rage bait. So where does a clerith fan go to discuss and fangirl? Don't know...

Part of the reason why I deactivated from Twitter was I was tired of feeling secondhand embarassment. Posting clerith or cloti under Nojima's posts, taking what the VAs say or do and twisting it. I don't want any part of it. Being in that bubble sometimes makes you lose your common sense.

Now all of the accounts are in on it! This, after Hamaguchi revealed the keyword for Part 3 is “Highwind.” 🥰

The FF7EC English Twitter account got in on December 9th's #clerith first meeting day. The mo-cap actress also joined in with the fan hashtag for it. Cute all around! 🥰

My favorite #clerith moment from Rebirth is still No Promises to Keep / Loveless. Fun fact: The ending sequence of Loveless where Rosa places a hand on Alfreid's cheek and they hug was filmed exclusively by Cloud and Aerith's mo-cap actors.

No one is more aware than the development team that Aerith/Zack fans are also Cloud/Tifa fans (same people), and that "Team Aerith" fans are pretty much Cloud/Aerith fans. They already know. So if you ship #clerith don't worry.

A lot of the party notice that Cloud and Aerith have a thing going on. It's not a coincidence that Zack, Cid, Vincent, Red XIII, Barret, Tifa have scenes where they tease or encourage Cloud about Aerith. 1. Zack - Gives him a playful rap on the shoulder, joking that he got "busy"

This rare Amano work depicting Aerith and Cloud + Tidus and Yuna sold for $7000! X has people debating over its authenticity, but the seller has a 99% rating and has sold dozens of rare Amano art before. Plus it has the certificate of authenticity, so it's likely to be a real commission!

There's some discussion on who the Buster Sword represents on the cover of Dear Destiny. It's obviously Cloud, but - another shortcut way to tell is that the sword features a blue and green materia, same as what's featured in Cloud's sword in every pre-rendered scene.

Called it! I knew there would be a novel between Rebirth and Part 3. "Traces of Two Pasts" (like Crisis Core) contextualizes the past ahead of Rebirth. This novel will likely contextualize things further, prior to Part 3, since it leads up to Tifa and Aerith meeting for the first time.
