I had once again another train adventure. Visited my mother yesterday and the plan was to go home in the evening. The trains decided that I should stay for the night because they just skipped the town.

It makes me SO happy that we are getting thicc Funny Valentine, PEAK

That was possibly my most chill integration ever. They already moved into the big cage and even there the harmony continues. 10/10

Had some space left on my artshow panel so I add a little more comfort art. I'll have 9 pieces this year, 4 are done, 4 almost ready for colors.

This integration really is easy mode. It is day two now, I put some furniture into their current cage and I don't see ressource guarding from anyone. Gonna clean half of the big cage tomorrow and maybe even put them in, that often is the stage when they figure out the last hierachy conflicts.

All in all I think the intro is going well

Started the intro earlier. My prediction was not completly correct, so far everyone is just confused but calm.

The small rats will become part of the big rat society next weekend, with rules and all. My prediction: Bronte will be the drama. Ida will be offended after becoming boss of the group. Elektra / Pythia will be cuddling by day 2. Echo will be confused.

She wanted the whole block of cucumber ice. I reminded her that we share in this household.

Pfft, one character design for the artshow is spontaneously turning into a DnD oneshot character

Plan for the day: Snatching more ice cream, cooking some peaches for ice tea and then arts!

I am making good progress on the artshow stuff. With a bit of luck and determination I'll finish the sketches by end of the work week. After that it's smooth sailing. 👌

Oh she pretty

The rat babies characters...Bronte (grey) is fairly independent and not so much of a snugglebug. Pythia is just a tiny baby who wants all the attention. When they first arrived a week ago I thought it was the other way around, haha.

And can you guess who needed a ride to the emergency vet today? Hekate, because she got a nasty ear infection and literally rotated in my arm since her balance was so off. That also is a first one for me. Keep your fingers crossed for her 🩷

Played my first rounds of Meccha Chameleon and while some hiding places of mine were really good, others were not

Hekate's abscess was back (again) and this time meds did not help but it opened and cleaned out nicely with my help. It's the small things sometimes 😂

The face of someone who is stable with her meds, has lungs that sound awesome and the vet was very proud of her 🩷

Ngl, I am so not feeling doing any artshow pieces this year. Life is just exhausting atm and I everytime I sit down for it I feel like it is not time well spent.

Happy to report that the babies will move in next week. I am SO ready for them 🩷

Oh they are comfy today

That is the worst train chaos I got myself into in a while

WELL it looks like two sweet ladies will move in by the end of June 🩷 The one with the heart and one from the other two, that os still to be decided.

Ahh the vet clinic finally called. Ida is awake and I can pick her up later 🩷

The remaining crew members are now called "the boring crew" because both Hekate and Echo do not care about the enrichment I offered them. Echo just wants cuddles and Hekate remands her food on a platter, not in a fun toy.
