Honored to stand with the Chicago Police Department and the Huesca family today as we remember Officer Luis Huesca on the anniversary of his passing. His service, his sacrifice, and his life will never be forgotten. Keeping his loved ones in our thoughts today and always.

When I took office as Comptroller, our Rainy Day Fund had just $48,000. Today, it stands at $2.4 billion. That progress matters for Illinois’ financial future, and for the remainder of my term as Comptroller, I’m going to keep working to build on it.

Barbara Flynn Currie inspired and opened doors to so many women in state government over the decades. She was beloved and respected by so many people around the state and especially by those of us who had the honor to serve with her. May she rest in God’s peace & eternal glory.

My prevailing wage team continues to speak to locals around the state about our efforts to ensure workers are paid a fair wage on publicly funded projects. Our last stop was in Addison, where we talked with about 70 apprentices from the BAC 1 District Council.
