The press conference portion of Nuggets Media Day lasted 3 hours this morning. Here are the things that resonated with me most. A) Nikola Jokic reaffirming his commitment to the Nuggets, saying “My plan is to be with the Nuggets forever,” when asked about a contract extension after the season.

At the risk of…whatever, given the fact I am and have always been in the media. There are too many in-game interviews for all of these sports. Sheesh! Let these coaches and athletes do their jobs. And talk to them afterward.

What’s catching my eye about this season’s slate… - 3 of first 5 games on the road - A stretch of 10 of 14 on the road from Nov. 11-Dec. 7 - 16 sets of back to backs — including three that are consecutive sets of back-to-backs. I’ve never seen that before

Nuggets fans, now that we've had a few days to digest the new roster -- which hopefully will continue to include Jonas Valanciunas -- how are we feeling about the team and its chances to get back to the Finals? #NuggetsSky

So, what the Nuggets have done most today is they got deeper with Bruce Brown coming back, and they got markedly better defensively with the Brown and Cam Johnson additions. Now they are starting to profile similarly to the Nuggets team that won the title. Expectations for this team should be high.

It's good to see so many of these really good SEC players get drafted here in the 2nd round. That conference was amazing last season, and, by and large, played a style that translates to the NBA. I expect them to thrive.

Was a fun first round of the NBA Draft. Excited to see how these players pan out. A lot of good talent was taken tonight.

I'll say this one more time: Brooklyn's draft has been low key really, really good.

That pick is going to Sacramento, but Clifford's story remains one of the best. Congratulations to him.

Ohhhh wow Nique Clifford! From an uncertain future and transfer from CU, to being a total star at CSU, now to the NBA champions. What a ride so far for him — and what a story about perseverance and believing in yourself. Huge congratulations to him.

Mildly surprised Michigan's Danny Wolf remains out there...

Been impressed with Utah's draft. Houston as well, and we'll see with Phoenix, which acquired a lot of size tonight. Low key, Brooklyn has had an interesting draft.

Love that pick for Charlotte. They missed out on Dalton Knecht when that trade fell through. Now they get the elite shooting they desperately need.

It’s too bad the Nuggets don’t have a pick in this draft because there are a lot of interesting players in it. You definitely don’t have to have a top 5 pick to get a player that can help, and in some cases, help quickly.

But this night is for OKC. What a team. They started as the favorites and fulfilled it. And with the KD trade to Houston, the West continues to be a total minefield. I absolutely love the space the NBA is in, and the sport of basketball in general. The sport, and its future has never been better.

And yet the league will have to grapple with the fact that so many significant players went down to injuries throughout the playoffs, and think about how compact these series are in the early rounds.

The thing that most everyone said would happen did happen — OKC winning the title. Indy will feel bad but ultimately feel proud of what they accomplished.

This Game 7 has so far everything we all want from it

The reality of the situation in the Eastern Conference is that given the situation Boston is in, down its best player & financial questions all over the place, and Indiana's rise to the NBA Finals, the East looks as wide open as it's ever been. Teams feel like they can make an Indy-style run.

Love this trade so much for Orlando

Ditto that for Lu Dort's 3-point shooting. .. And he's still the only player I've seen go through defensive drills in pregame warmups, along with offensive stuff.

Obi Toppin's growth offensively since college has been just amazing to see. His bag is so much more diverse and consistently effective now. Love it.

This game is already 🔥🔥🔥 Indiana came ready. to. roll.

The NBA playoffs just keep delivering. So what we are seeing is if OKC has a kryptonite, it's Indy. So many players and actions to guard. OKC's defense never gets stretched thin. But Indiana can do it. Will it net them a title. Is the question. This series has been amazing so far.

The biggest mistake his peers ever made was calling Tyrese Halliburton overrated. He is making them eat those words in these playoffs.

This France-Spain game is wild

The Pacers are really proving tonight that at the end of the day, the only team that dictates their pace is them. Tonight has been a total clinic on getting your style of game on the court. Now, the biggest challenge — doing it against OKC’s vaunted defense. I cannot wait for the NBA Finals

I just think we’re going to look back at these #NBA playoffs and know that the Nuggets gave OKC their most difficult series by far. And also that, going into next season, the Nuggets remain no worse than the 2nd best team in the Western Conference.

This series is showing that Minnesota is just not built the right way around Ant Edwards. Needs additional playmakers, and obviously more reliable scoring depth. Otherwise ANY team can clamp down on Ant and know that no one else will make them consistently pay for it over a 7-game series.

Love this decision for the Nuggets

This game was so good. Hands down, these have been the best NBA playoffs, top to bottom, in quite some time.

No team has been better at rallying from 4th quarter deficits in these playoffs than Indiana. Unreal. Down by 14 with 2:51 in the 4th and now we are in overtime. Just, wow.

Shut the front door Nesmith!

I just want #Nuggets fans to know and understand that Denver’s turnover problem vs. OKC was not exclusive to them. OKC does this vs. every team, all the time. They are doing it tonight against Minny. Defensively, they are just that good.

The Nuggets did a fabulous job of holding down OKC’s leading scorer, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, to 7-of-22 shooting. He led the NBA in drives and averaged 56% shooting on those in the regular season. He shot just 44% on drives in Game 3. This is what he constantly saw… a packed paint #NuggetsSky
