This is a big reason why I have a hard time with journalists and scores. I have no problem with your thoughts and opinions on games, everyone has the right to feel how they feel. I'd never heard of Pocket Tactics, and was curious as to why they gave it a 7. The review itself is fine, however 1 of 2

I finished all 24 episodes of Tu Bian Yingxiong X (To Be Hero X) and this one was pretty good. The art, music, and action scenes are incredibly well done and fun! Sadly it's the story and characters that are the weakest part for me. 1 of 3

I finished all 13 episodes of Guimi Zhi Zhu: Xiaochou Pian (Lord of Mysteries) and this was quite an experience. The animation, sound, and music are all incredibly beautiful and well done! The characters and voice actors are generic and sound bored, but the monsters/enemies were interesting. 1 of 3

I think going forward with my RPG Quest project, I want to try my best to stream every game (and I'll revisit the ones I've already beaten later). I'll probably go through Twitch to stream, then upload to my Youtube channel by title/series for those who want to watch at their own leisure!

I finished RPG Quest game number 10: Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana for the PS2 in about 47 hours. I hadn't played this since its release, so a lot of it was new all over again. The music was just as incredible as I remembered and absolutely recommend listening to the OST! 1 of 4

So I'm debating on doing streams of my RPG Quest, but looking for some feedback on what people like. I'm thinking of either streaming through Twitch/Youtube, then upload to Youtube/channel, or just recording playthroughs and upload to Youtube at each stopping point. 1 of 2

I finished all 50 chapters of "Wild Strawberry" and this was a bit of a letdown sadly. The art is fantastic, and the story started out with such a neat, unique premise, but shortly in, the pace went at a breakneck speed. The story got incredibly rushed and the characters were generic. 1 of 2

I finished Vinland Saga and it's such a great manga! The art was fantastic and the characters are interesting for the most part. I have some gripes about how the story smashes into a wall and does a 180 in tone, but the philosophical ideas behind it are worth it at the same time. 1 of 2

I finished all 10 episodes of Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi and this was very good! The art is interesting and the music is good. The characters and story are a bit hit or miss for me, but there were definitely some moments that hit hard and a little too close to home. Overall I absolutely recommend this

I'm definitely not to the point yet in my Japanese proficiency level, but I want to get to where I can translate manga, anime, games, and books that haven't been released in English yet with decent accuracy. Oh man, I'm in trouble *insert Ralph danger gif* I have discovered the Bookwalker website and they have so many mangas and novel! I discovered a Kirby section with 33 novels, so I bought one. This site is dangerous 😭

I completed Kaijuu 8-gou manga finally, and this one is a little bit of a mixed bag for me. The beginning of this started out incredible, with such a neat idea for a story, fun characters, great art, and pacing was done well! As the story progressed, it got more generic 1 of 2

We finished Shokugeki no Souma Season 1 (a rewatch for me) of 24 episodes and it's still just as good as I remembered! The characters and story are fun and ridiculous, and the art and music are fantastic. I absolutely recommend this to anyone, especially if you like cooking!

I just passed my last class of the semester, with next semester starting September 1st. I'm only 11 classes from graduating and can't believe I'm this close! I'll be the first person from either side of my family and extended family to have a degree too! Going to hit it hard and try to pass all 11!

We finished season 2 of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and it's just as good as the first season! The characters are so good, as is the art and music. The story is fantastic and it was so hard to stop watching. I absolutely recommend this series, and can't wait for season 3! I need to read the manga now!

My next game for my RPG Quest is one I haven't played since it first came out, Atelier Iris - Eternal Mana! It'll be nice to revisit this as I don't remember much about it.

Over the weekend I was able to beat RPG #9 of my RPG Quest: Like A Dragon Ishin. This one was a fun adventure through the Tokugawa period with a neat spin on all the characters. While the story was good and fun, a lot of the other gameplay aspects took a step down from the rest of the series 1 of 2

We finished Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran at 13 episodes, and though this is a rewatch for me, it was great to revisit! This one was made in 2000, but the art and music are reminiscent of an early 1990's style (one of my favorite eras!). 1 of 3

I completed Takopii no Genzai, which only has 6 episodes, and absolutely recommend it, but with a strong warning for those who suffer from mental health issues and/or suicidal ideation. That said, the art in this is incredible and probably the best aspect easily. The characters and dynamics 1 of 2

I'm so excited! Yesterday I was able to get one of my grail games finally, Shantae for the Gameboy Color! It's complete in box and in great condition!

I finally hit the 1200 anime series completed last night with the completion of the movie "Aria the Benezidione"! Also closing in on 19,000 episodes watched as well.

I started with Gen II with an Atari 2600, but I had a friend who had an Odyssey, so I got to play that quite a bit. My first 2 games for the Atari were Pac-man and Pitfall! How about you?

I'd love to get some advice from you all! I've been debating selling my physical game collection of over 2300 games. Between things like Steam/PSN store and emulators/roms, plus how expensive it's getting to collect, I think the money would be huge for clearing debt, savings, and investing. 1 of 2

I apologize for the lengthy absence. I've been working a lot, plus studying for my degree and Japanese pretty heavily, and in my limited downtime, mostly watching anime and playing games. I'm excited as I'm working through my first manga in Japanese, on volume 3 out of 5 for the manga "Happiness"!

I'm very excited that I'm going to attempt my first Japanese version of a game, and I'm starting with one of my all-time favorites! I feel it's time to start putting my little bit of knowledge into practice, and look up whatever I have to. It'll be slow, but I feel I'll learn a lot! 出来るだけ頑張ります!

I finished RPG #7 of my RPG Quest: Lunar: Silver Star Story. I hadn't played this since it first came out and forgot just how fantastic it is! The music is incredible and so calming, yet it also has some hilarious dialogue (I'll post some at the end) and enemy names, as seen in the picture. 1 of 4

I've played everything on this list except for 1, 2, and 3, but I also agree there's not enough weeb games on here. It's nice seeing some "forgotten" series get some love like Bomberman, Mega Man, Wild Arms, Shenmue, Shadow Hearts, and Drakengard!

I'm very excited! I found a great deal on all 4 Japanese "Tales of" GBA games! These are: Tales of Phantasia, Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage, Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2, and Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3! All complete in box too, and in fantastic shape!

I love all games, but playing through Lunar right now hits so much different. It gives me such cozy, nostalgic vibes, and a longing for more classic JRPGs! I can't wait to dive into more older ones, and revisit others!

I finished the Golden Boy manga and man was this series garbage. It started out with an interesting idea about a desire to learn and gain knowledge, but quickly devolved into Egawa Tatsuya's fevered sexual desires a half step below full blown hentai. 1 of 2

We had a great time at the Spiritbox, Loathe, and Dying Wish concern on Friday night in Denver! I look terrible due to the amount of smoke and such in there, but the bands were great!

I'm excited, I was very lucky to accidentally be on Walmart's website when they dropped the Switch 2 last night and was able to snag one for myself and my girlfriend!

We finished the last Ghibli film (#26): Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka. Finally completing my Ghibli quest, this one was interesting. The art, music, and scenery were beautiful and well done. The characters are one of the weaker aspects. 1 of 3

I've put in about 6 hours of this today and absolutely love it as much now as back then! The music is fantastic and the gameplay is smooth. The characters are still the cliched 90s type with the over the top dialog, but still fun. Absolutely recommend this one and can't wait to do a final review!
