New #TTRPG started today for the long-running former Grendleroot group. They chose Rime of the Frostmaiden for their next campaign and Session Zero and a couple of opening scenes kicked things off. They also welcomed the first of two players to the group. Excited to try a book I haven't run! #ProDM

This Sunday, I begin a new campaign for the holdovers of my Grendleroot campaign and a new recruit. All I need to do is actually pick what I want to do so I can focus on that and not the seven other #TTRPG campaigns that “would be so cool to run!” The struggles of a #ProDM with no attention span!

Finally got my hands on the new Avengers Expansion book for Marvel Multiverse #TTRPG. First glance looks great but it needs more Squadron Supreme @forbeck.com! ;) Can’t wait to dive in!

After more than 2.5 yrs, The Wifflebats have reached the end of the Ruins of the Grendleroot #TTRPG campaign began in January 2023. The final battle with Karak Blackiron on the Black Star planet will be decided and Blackclaw Mountain hopefully saved. Thanks to the crew for a fun campaign! #ProDM

One tough part of being a #ProDM is finding time to just enjoy #TTRPG stuff that isn't part of stuff you're running (and may never run, if its an obscure game). So much great stuff out there but finding time when you have to prep for X games a week is rough. In related news, 4 games in 4 days. 🤪

Tuesday night was an RPG-free day (although I picked up another book...I have an addiction), but it was #StarWarsUnlimited night at Dragon Guild so I finally used my Rose Tico showcase to try out the deck that Top 8ed a PQ last week. Only lost 1 game. :) Busy 4-day weekend of #TTRPGs ahead! #ProDM

Another busy weekend ended with the penultimate session of my over 2.5 year Ruins of the Grendleroot #TTRPG campaign. Our Lvl 20 squad made one final defense of Deepdelver's Enclave against a Scion of Surtur before flying into the Astral Sea to stop the BBEG. The epic finale is in two weeks! #ProDM

Finished #TTRPG session #28 over the 17 days of my work holidays and my brain is fried, though tonight’s session went well. A couple of much needed days off now from running games before getting back to it on Thursday for another run of 4. #ProDM

Sad to hear of the passing of one of my favourite comic, book, and TV writers, Peter David. Iconic runs of The Hulk and Aquaman are most known, but it was his versions of X-Factor, his continuation of Dreadstar, and his Star Trek novels that made me a fan. Combined humour and heart expertly. RIP

Picked up the new Imperium Maledictum Starter Set by @cubicle7games.bsky.social on the way to my game tonight. Looks like another fantastic Starter Set by a company that is the standard by which Starter Sets should be measured. I can’t wait to get it to the table!

#StarWarsUnlimited Store Showdown at Dragon Guild tonight. I took trusty old Cad Bane Tarkintown and ran into a field of bad matchups (Yoda, Bossk, & Q’ira) going 1-3 and squeaking into Top 8 for a Devastator. Vader Red took down the event, beating Yoda Yellow in the finals.

It took longer than it should have, but I finally pulled the trigger on business cards. They arrived today. :) #TTRPG #ProDM

A followup to the last post. I want to give a hearty recommendation for Ruins of the Grendleroot by @slyflourish.com. This one setting book has provided me with a combined four years of campaign games between two groups, as well as multiple one-shots in that time. An excellent #TTRPG product!

Another evening, another #TTRPG #ProDM session. The Wifflebats continued the 2.5 year Ruins of the Grendleroot campaign by saving the crashed Spelljammer they may need from massive constructs and then they began the final phase of the campaign, entering The Monolith to face Karak Blackiron. #LFG

Saturday night, I began a private #TTRPG of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist for a long-time group giving their Forever DM a break. Awesome crew & a fun night of D&D, even though I notched my fourth 5E PC fatality in the process. Looking forward to guiding them into the sewers of Waterdeep next time! #ProDM

Our entire session of Shadows of Atlantis for #AchtungCthulhu was the team avoiding Germans to escape from Cairo. Tomfoolery ensued and eventually a car chase/battle to get away! It was super pulpy and lots of fun, which describes Achtung Cthulhu perfectly! More #TTRPG goodness tomorrow! #ProDM

One of the challenges with trying to play #StarWarsUnlimited while running this #ProDM business is finding time when others are also playing it. So while I didn't plan to become a Tournament Organizer again after #L5R LCG stopped, I'm pulled back in. The best way to ensure I play is have events. :)

Had my usual pack luck at the #StarWarsUnlimited Spark of Rebellion draft tonight. The player beside me opened both Vader and Luke in his 3 packs. *sigh* I did manage to pilot the pile of garbage I ended up with to a 2-1 record, which surprised me. Drafting #SWU is always a good time!

@keith-baker.com, I'm expanding Quickstone beyond Lv5 & had the idea of one "monster" species gaining either an "aberrant" or one of the 12 dragonmarks. This would lead to a "protect the younglings" angle & be a spark to potential witch hunt. My question is: Have you explored this in your blog?
