You can skip most of my opinion on Madonna's newest, except this: "Madonna has had a massive impact...with not that much voice. We cannot imagine how deep her work would have been felt if she had actually been able to belt a dance anthem with the pipes of a Martha Walsh. It would have been seismic.

This evening we yearn for yesterday’s discomfort.

One way or another other I’ll have *somewhere* in my house that’s cool to sleep tonight. In the meantime, I’m going early to work, where the climate is controlled, and where there is an organ available on which I can experiment with voicings.

It wasn’t that my air conditioning couldn’t keep my place warm. It was that my air conditioner was not working. Consequently it is 91° in this house. The only thing I can do is lie in front of a fan, the only place where it is possible to exist.

My AC has been on all day. (Hasn’t shut off, in fact.) It has not been able to cool my house below 86F.

When my algorithm can sense that my anxiety is higher even than usual, she always tries to serve me updates on the gulf stream collapse. Awww, thanks sis!🫶

I was in the Growlr app on Sunday only long enough to update my bio to one sentence wih two misspellings that made it all but impossible to translate. I ended up getting more interaction from that than all year. 🥸🤣😭🌈

OTD 2014 — I took the first shirtless selfie of my life where I didn't immediately *hate it.* It has taken more than 10 years of work, but now I can finally see myself neutrally (or at least without a knee-jerk reaction of disappointment lol). 🎉
