Sit here and tagged it as Death of the Family on the damn photo and still managed to write the wrong thing in the post. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s been a painful two weeks.

Its been…a minute. I have FINALLY finished the Death in the family crossover, along with all of the trades connecting. The main story was…ok. It was a passable joker story, but with no real chronology, like most DC X-overs I am used to. At least it was fun seeing him rage and chaos again.

To specify: I’m just that emotional that someone saying they’re buying me pizza broke every wall and turned me into a flood. I’ve had so much going on lately that I can’t separate stress from relief and it was just so much to handle. But I’m good now. 💕💕💕

That type of day when your girlfriend says she’ll get the two of you pizza for lunch and your response is to burst out in tears. Ooof.

Went 1-2 in tonight’s sealed, but what a difference I had in feel for this set vs the last one. I loved my time playing, even losing. Plus I got to teach an older gentleman who had never played before. It was such a fun night compared to EoE.

Next: Death of the Family! Flash was pretty decent. The art is a gorgeous elevated comic style, while Manapul weaves a decent story. The gorilla invasion is fun, and the reverse flash set up is interesting. One of my favorite titles here so far. If you read these, what did you think? #New52 #DC

Next: The Flash vol. 3: Gorilla Warfare Throne of Atlantis is kind of a letdown from Johns, especially across from his GL Finale. It’s just a hum drum Aquaman story, but the Reiss art is gorgeous, and it did set up the future JLA and trinity war. If you read these, what did you think? #New52 #DC

I did want to add to this: GL by Johns is one of my favorite runs ever, and it bled into 3 other books at this point, making that whole corner of the DC world shine. I really am sad to be done with that stuff because it will forever be one that makes me smile with how well it was written.

Next: Superman - Action Comics vol. 3: At the End of Days Wrath is good…once the “alternate reality” stuff finishes up and the story actually starts. Saw this while in line for food last night and I just cracked up.

Spent the early part of the afternoon trading some stuff in at an LGS to pick up some upgrades to quite a few decks, and the Counter Blitz Commander Deck.

0-6 today. But ya know what…I walked away with 3 mythics and 9 rares, most of which I needed…I’ll count it as a win, especially since the prize support is Duskmourn.
