God of War gained nothing from being an open-zones-based light-RPG instead of being linear except bad pacing. I can respect the genre and thematic change more than I actually ended up liking it. Can't have them all.

I have another hot take that will get me in prison: God of War 2018 looks insane but everytime Kratos has to open a door or shimmy through a crack or climb a linear path I want to die. It actually kinda ruins the experience for me.

'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' is incredible television. 6 episodes each 35 minutes long and they do SO MUCH. It's so tightly and succinctly written and incredibly directed. This is honestly peak Game of Thrones.

The final season of Stranger Things is fun. The dialogue feels incredibly dumb like it has been tiktok-brain-proofed by making every character explain every thought process all the time, but it then has those singular character moments that just work expertly. It's dumb slop but it's fun.
