Yesterday I had read one of this books with kids and introduced "tino pai" - like ka pai they said and we could talk about what they already knew i te reo Māori to help them learn more. It was normal. Removing them is not. (FYI, this series of books are pretty lack lustre anyway...)

Oh hey there, so, we had a fatality on our stretch of State Highway 1 today after Simeon put the speed limit back up to 100. After all the years it was at 80 with no fatalities. A life ended. SH1 closed for 4+ hours. We told them it would happen.

Fantastic resource here for time poor teachers.

Once again, the pedagogy behind such a change was never properly supported so they "failed" in many cases. Such spaces are child focused and that doesn't fit move to more control. Also, choice of space is important.
