Watched Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Really enjoyed it. Was very impressed how respectful Rian was of the Catholic faith.

Tonight is a Rankin & Bass mini-marathon. It begins with Santa Claus is Coming to Town, then Year Without a Santa Claus, next Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, and if there is time Frosty the Snowman.

Started my Christmas movie watching Miracle on 34th Street (1947). This is my 1st time. Great movie. Makes the annual list now. Also, watched The Thin Man (1934). Another first time watch. Functional alcoholism runs on both sides of my family. So not as fun as I hoped. Won't be watching it again.

Had a crazy dream last night where I restarted the Manga Moveable Fest. Some of the original reviewers were part of it as well as new reviewers. Hadn't thought about MMF in a very long time. Have no idea where this dream came from.

Picked this up at the
@denpabooks.bsky.social
booth at Anime NYC. It's Moto Hagio, so of course it's well drawn and well written. Most importantly she really understands cats. As a cat person myself, I really appreciated her humor and portrayal of Leo. Brilliant manga from a master of the form.

Rewatched Pixar's Soul, criminally neglected film. My favorite Pixar film. It's so profound, yet kind in its message. Truly an adult film. You have to have lived enough life and seen a dream or pass die to understand its message. I hope one day it will be recognized for the masterpiece it is.
