Last week, our stewards took the time to attend an all-day grievance training hosted by UAW Region 9A-- thanks to them, we are equipped to enforce our contract and protect our fellow workers' rights! It was a pleasure to meet with other locals and connect with them about making our unions stronger!✊

TOMORROW: Emergency Town Hall from 10-11:30 am on Zoom at our usual link. We will be discussing the contract as well as the recent announcement about layoffs.

We'll be hosting coffee hours throughout the summer from 11am-1pm. Tuesdays on Central campus, Wednesdays on West campus. Members, stop by for a coffee on us! ☕🤎

We believe in protecting and uplifting all of our members-- in the fight for human rights, the value of queer and transgender lives, and especially for our most vulnerable community members. Pride is as much a protest as it is a celebration, and we thank those who are doing the important work. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Collective bargaining works because we enforce our contracts through grievance procedures, but how well do members understand the process when they may never be involved in filing a grievance? When members understand the grievance process, we are empowered, and that helps keep management in check!
