My wife's cousin is an alcoholic. His liver is now screwed and he is on the list for a transplant. To get on the list he had to stop drinking for 6 months. Yesterday he said " I can't wait to get my new liver so I can drink again" I was so angry - someone has to die for him to get a liver.

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet. After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

I finally gave in and went to see the osteopath. I have Posterior Tibial Tendonitis - otherwise known as a super painful ankle and instep. Treatment is made more challenging as I can't take anti-inflamatories due to my Crohn's. But it can be sorted out, which is a relief

Bit of a mad day. We now have heating and hot water - such luxury. I have got a job!! Hooray. 4 days a week, rather than the 3 I hoped for, but 2 are wfh so still a decent work life balance. In other news, I stepped on the edge of the cat bowl and flung wet food EVERYWHERE. Stan was unimpressed.

I drove for 4 hours to see a friend's new house and have lunch, then I drove 4 hours back home. It was lovely, and she really appreciated the effort. All relationships need work, everyone likes to feel valued and "worth it". 😁.

I used to spend my days writing reports for criminal Court. Without fail I would spell possession incorrectly. Once I was so focused on getting it right I missed another error and the report went to Court with offence listed as "Possession of an Imitation Forearm". 🤦‍♀️
