The kitchen installation has started 🥳 The flooring may be a.bit of an issue. We thought it was large pieces of herringbone style wood that slots together. Turns out it is individual pieces. The flooring guy STARED at us and said nothing. I'm guessing it will cost twice as much to fit! 🙄

Renovation update. All the walls are now down and steels are in. By the end of next week it will all be done. The bedroom extension is also lovely.

We have settled in to the Travelodge. Stan has adapted well and is snoozing. Rafa is at her daycare/kennels. The builders are busy. All is ok (renovationwise, less so globally!!)

The builders will be knocking through in the new year, so in preparation we have decamped to the spare bedroom. We are surrounded by boxes and on one of the boxes by my head we have placed the LFC dugout seat. It has been a huge hit with Stan who is pleased that FINALLY he has a throne!

My friend went to London yesterday to see the panto at the Palladium. She accompanied her friend, who is a wheelchair user. I received this text about the journey home. Absolutely scandalous. The journey should have taken them 35 minutes.

We have a friend visiting. She is a cat person and is not comfortable around dogs. Raf can be quite bouncy and our friend had tried so hard to overcome her anxieties and have a relationship with Rafa. We love her for this. The friend is visiting, and today this happened - Raf cuddled into her ❤️

Our previous rescue cat Kevin-Dexter was so quirky. This is him, happily waiting to be seen at the vets. He loved to travel in the car and visit people, but he was an indoor cat because he couldn't jump properly and fell off things very easily - so we decided he'd be safer at home.

Raf looking super smart - earlier she was covered in mud. Tomorrow she will be covered in mud. In this short moment she was clean and tidy. I now know how my mum felt. I had to sit on a chair and not move once I was in my best clothes to prevent me from getting covered in mud 😂

I was driving along today when the battery warning light suddenly came on. 2 minutes later all the lights on the dash started pinging and flashing. Then I lost power steering and braking. I was really bloomin scared. Upshot - it needs a new alternator....£750. On top of Stan's £950 teeth. Super!

Whilst we were at work the dog walker took Rafa for a run around with some buddies. Someone got the better end of the deal 🤔

The menopause came through for me today..... To rewind, we've been discussing whether to spend £200 on a bio wash for the roof. Today the roofers dumped loads of moss straight on to my new garden chairs. I went outside, saw it,and burst into tears. (Awkward silence) Upshot - getting free roof wash 🤣
